This might be a dark moment for them, but he suspected the world would only get better.
Why?
Because they had each other.
And that mattered.
What they both wanted in life was to find that connection to someone who would always have their back. Genesis wasn’t the only one who’d been damaged by loss.
He had too.
Now, it was time to find their way through all of this.
When he found her mouth, the kiss exploded around them, and there was no place he’d rather be.
Was this all weird?
Yes.
Only, he lived in Salem and was friends with a bunch of psychics.
Weird was his daily thing, so nothing Genesis could throw at him would make him run.
He was in love for the first time in his life, and he wanted her to know that he’d always be in love.
As he kissed her, Genesis held on. The static crackled around them, and she was cognizant of it.
She was slipping into the sound, and the man with her was falling too.
They were crossing a threshold and taking a trip to a place she’d never been before.
You will be fine. Just enjoy the moment. We’ll talk tomorrow. I’ll keep you safe while you make this moment. It’s important that you two are one for what’s to come.
She could hear it as clear as day in her voice.
Oracle?
There was soft, melodious laughter, and even Josh heard it. That sound pulled his focus, and while he was kissing his woman, he was also cognizant that they didn’t feel alone.
Yes. Enjoy this moment. I remember when Nate and I shared something similar. You’re safe here in Raven’s charmed apartment. I’ll see you tomorrow.
And just like she had popped into her head, she was gone. But the moment wasn’t stopping there. Genesis needed this man, and she could feel his lust battering into her.
It appeared they were going to make some pretty magickal memories above that enchanted shop.
They were about to become one.
Whatever that meant.
Instead of stopping the kiss, she poured more of herself into it, her hands in his hair, and his body locked to hers.
“Bed,” she whispered. “I need you, Joshua.”
Oh, well, sign him up.
That was one hell of a way to have an argument, and he was up for it.
Literally.
