“Don’t stop. Please, don’t stop.”
Trevor didn’t. Not even when the sound of the doorbell brokethrough their bubble. Not even when the ring repeated, a demanding buzz thatbarely penetrated the cloud of lust and desire that Trevor was floating on.
“Leah will get it,” Ollie said. “Don’t go,” he added, asTrevor shifted toward the dresser.
“I’m not going anywhere. Just getting some lube.” He slid upOllie’s body, then met his eyes. “You want that?”
Ollie didn’t answer. Not with words, anyway. But the way hegrabbed Trevor’s face and drew him down for a hot, deep kiss was answer enough. And the answer made Trevor as hard as stone. He wanted that connection. Wantedto feel Ollie tight around him. Wanted to fist Ollie’s cock while he poundedhis own inside of him, until both of them came together.
And never once had he truly believed he’d ever get to livethat fantasy.
“You’re incredible,” he whispered, catching himself beforehe said I love you.
But he did. He had for months. He was certain of it. But hewasn’t sure Ollie was ready to hear it.
“This is incredible,” Ollie retorted. He tookTrevor’s chin, turned it so they were facing each other. “We’re incredible.”
He lifted his head for a kiss, but their lips didn’t meet.Instead, they were interrupted by the screech of Ollie’s phone.
“Fuck,” Ollie snapped. “I silenced that.”
But the words were barely out of his mouth before he wassitting up, pushing Trevor off him.
“What?”
“I did silence it. There’s only one ring that comes throughwhen it’s in DND-mode.”
Trevor sighed. “Go ahead, Agent McKee. You better answerit.”
Ollie did, hitting the button to put it on speaker even asthe doorbell rang again.
“McKee.”
“It’s Horowitz and Ryan Hunter. Answer the damn door, Agent McKee.”
Chapter Six
The team gathered at Damien’s Malibu house, a huge structurethat not only boasted plenty of space, but was also already well-equipped torun an operation as massive as a kidnapping. Mostly, because it had alreadydone that before. First, when sweet little Anne had been kidnapped along withBree, their nanny. Then later when Nikki had been snatched.
Kidnapping.
He still couldn’t believe it. But Horowitz, Ryan, and Damienhad tracked him down at Trevor’s condo because Courtney had been kidnapped, andthe ransom note had been addressed to Ollie’s attention.
Normally, they’d be set up at that the local FBI fieldoffice, but Damien had stepped in, and Ollie was still grateful. “He’s going towant to work 24/7,” Damien had said to Horowitz as they’d stood in Trevor’sliving room. “We all know that. Let’s let him do that someplace morecomfortable than a field office or the SSA.”
“I’d like that,” Ollie had said, and once Damien had pointedout that the house was already rigged for all the equipment they could possiblyneed, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Andrew Horowitz had agreed.
Ryan Hunter, the man responsible for the day-to-day operationsof the SSA—not to mention Jamie’s husband—had also agreed. But he’d insistedthat the operation be a joint mission between the FBI and the SSA. And thatTrevor run the op.
“He worked Hostage & Rescue before coming over to StarkInternational, and he’s worked more kidnappings than anyone at the SSA. Plus,Courtney’s one of ours.”
Horowitz had turned to Ollie. “Your call, Agent McKee.”
“The SSA knows what they’re doing,” Ollie had said withouthesitation. “And Trevor’s the right man to lead the op.”
“Then you have no argument from me,” Horowitz responded, anOklahoma twang coloring his voice. “Your group has a solid reputation in thecommunity. And since I’m good friends with Anderson Seagrave,” he added, referring to the colonel who headed up the covert Sensitive Operations Commandfor the Pentagon, “I can also attest to your reputation underground. We’llprovide whatever support you need.” He’d grinned. “Reserving the right to stepin if we deem it necessary.”
“Understood,” Ryan had said.
