Their eyes light up like I’ve just offered their favorite thing in the world.

“Give us thirty minutes, cara mia!” Alessandro declares, jumping to his feet.

I laugh and curl up on the couch with a paperback, since I don’t feel like being online right now. Jeremy makes popcorn and Alessandro whips up some kind of olive dip with crackers. They reset the nest with the massage supplies and Joel goes upstairs to get the media room ready for a movie.

Their eagerness warms my heart. It feels so good to be safe and cared for that it doesn’t really matter what we do. I simply want to spend time with my alphas.

“I could get used to this,” I say when we pick up the date from the “Baccini Spa” with Alessandro giving me a pedicure while the twins massage myrtle extract scrub into my hands.

“Ooh!” Jeremy flashes me his megawatt smile. “Then how about we make it a monthly thing?”

“I’m up for that,” Joel agrees.

Alessandro looks up, hands absently stroking my toes. “Sì. I’m in.”

I could remind them about dates being a reward for finishing their learning modules, but right at this moment, I prefer not to.

“Quick question,” Joel asks, studying my hands closely. “If going outdoors is a lightning problem, how do you feel about a palanquin?”

“A what?” Alessandro asks, reaching for the nail polish. “Is that a knight?”

“No,” Jeremy clicks his tongue. “You’re thinking of a paladin. He means one of those box chairs they carry queens in.” He moves his hands around in parallel shapes, trying to form it in the air.

Fear prickles up my spine, but I sit with it for a long minute before answering. “That’s kinda . . . absurd. I’m not keen on the idea, but let’s just take it slow for now. I’m not saying no forever. But I need time to think about it.”

Really, it’s enough that they’re thinking of ways to support me and my phobia.

Joel leans in and kisses me. “Thank you, my love.”

“For?”

“Saying how you really feel.”

I smile and reach for him to kiss again. The first flush of desire sparks in my belly and his eyes twinkle as he catches it via the bond.

“How many electricians does it take to turn an omega on?” Jeremy tries to keep a straight face but fails.

“How many?” asks Alessandro, not quite catching the joke.

“Just one,” the cheeky alpha says, winking at me.

I slap at his arm, but he catches hold and lifts my wrist to his mouth. The first tug of his gentle suck on the bond mark pulls a breathy moan from my throat.

“Merda,” Alessandro whispers, his hand tightening on my ankle.

Yeah, shit is right, because there’s no way we’re going to start the movie now.

“How about we . . . um, make this a three-part date, and leave the movie for next time?” I ask shyly.

Joel swoops in, straddling my knees without resting his weight on me to take my cheeks in his hands. “I can handle that.”

His hungry kisses send my thoughts fleeing.

“Oh, this will be good,” Jeremy purrs, lips still exploring my wrist. The skin there’s so sensitive, I quiver with each touch. He notices and strokes my forearm with his thumb while sucking harder on the healing bond mark.

I whimper again.

Joel groans and kisses along my jaw and down my throat. I throw my free arm over his back and grip his shirt, my core heating fast.
