“Ah, so you do like being naughty on occasion. Sit up, I want to try something.”

Valeria pulled Caroline up and settled her over her lap with her back against the headboard, and Caroline straddled her lap. With Valeria in her grasp, she kissed her neck, sucking gently before kissing down her chest, nipping the top of her breast before pulling it out of the top of her dress.

“How are you the one getting bitey?” Valeria laughed.

“It’s not my fault you’re slow.”

Caroline’s hand searched beneath her skirts until she felt Valeria’s coarse curls and started her slow, teasing strokes up and down her seam.

“Ride my thigh and tilt your head to the side.”

“Do you want me to stop?” Caroline went to pull her hand away, but Valeria grabbed it with her unnatural speed.

“Don’t stop. I’m only trying to arrange us so we can both get everything we want.”

Caroline returned to her teasing, amazed at how soft and slick she was beneath her touch. She had learned Valeria’s body as well over their weeks together, and it wasn’t long until she had her panting beneath her.

“Do you always take so long before you start drinking?”

“Shush, I’m trying to find the exact vein I want. It’s important, and you’re being very distracting.”

Valeria ran her mouth up and down her neck, her tongue flicking out to taste her skin. Valeria placed an open-mouth kiss over a spot where her neck met her shoulder, just above her collarbone. She felt her teeth and gasped as she felt her canine teeth grow until they were sharp. Caroline squirmed with anticipation before Valeria finally bit down.

It was agony and ecstasy. Heaven and hell. She cried out because nothing had ever hurt like that, but her core pulsed, and when Valeria took in another draw of her blood, she saw stars and reached her climax without even a touch. Caroline whimpered when Valeria removed her fangs.

“Your taste is incomparable. I’m already feeling the effects of your blood. I’ve never felt so strong.”

“Then why’d you stop?” She whined, riding Valeria’s thigh, but it wasn’t the same.

“I don’t want to take too much.”

“You can take a bit more. I’ll let you know when I start feeling woozy.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll taste the change before it ever gets that far.”

Valeria’s breath over her bite mark made her shiver. “Does it always feel like this when you feed? This sensitive?”

“No, that’s only because it’s us, and we already want each other.”

“Oh,” she sighed, grinding on Valeria’s leg. She didn’t want anyone else feeling like this when Valeria fed from them “Good. You can take more.”

Valeria laughed as she moved Caroline’s hair back. “Just a little sip.”

Valeria bit down once again, and Caroline cried out. It truly was incomparable.

CHAPTER 27

Dawn was fast approaching; Caroline could tell from the stars disappearing from the sky. She was sad this night had to end as she lay with her head in the crook of Valeria’s shoulder.

“Cara, we need to get up.”

“Why? It’s almost dawn. We can sleep through the day.”

“We have to deal with your husband first.”

Caroline shot up. “Oh God, I forgot about him entirely. What are we going to do?”

Valeria chuckled. “Luckily, I have some experience with disposing of bodies.”
