Against my better judgment, I began to lower my head when a loud rumble overhead made her tremble just before the heavens opened up. It didn’t just spit or rain lightly. No, we were caught in a torrential downpour. Grabbing the hood on the hoodie, I pulled it up onto her head, and then I grabbed her hand to run for the truck.

Color me impressed. Vi ran like she was in one of her marathons even though she was in heels. I unlocked the truck and helped her up into the passenger side before racing around to the driver’s side and hopping into my seat.

I glanced over at Vi as she pulled the hood down on the hoodie. Her hair was ruined, and her mascara was running down her face. She pulled down the rearview mirror before looking over at me. I wasn’t sure what reaction I expected, but a belly laugh was not it.

“I look like a clown from a horror movie,” she managed to spit out before she continued to laugh harder. “See this is why I hate make-up,” she said through her laughter.

Unable to help myself, I laughed along with her. Starting the truck, I turned the heat on high as she settled herself back into the seat. She pulled out tissues from her purse to wipe at her face.

“I’m sorry. I had no idea it was going to rain.”

“It’s fine. That’s Florida for you.” She smiled at me, and I wasn’t sure I liked the strange pull in my gut.

She was making me want to break all sorts of rules. Pulling the truck out of the parking lot, I made our way back to the fire station and her car. The rain was loud as it continued to batter the vehicle and make visibility difficult. We’d just pulled into the fire station parking lot where we’d left Vi’s car when her phone rang.

She pulled it out, and the name glowing on the screen said, ‘Mitch.’ A spark of jealousy sliced through me, and I tightened my hands on the steering wheel, holding back a growl.

“Hey Mitch, what’s up,” Vi asked as she answered the phone. “But I’m off work and…oh…okay, I’ll be there as quick as I can.”

“Who was that,” I asked.

“My boss. He said he wanted me to check out a scene right now. Strange.”

As soon as she said that, some of the tension evaporated. But my initial urge to yank the phone out of her hand and tell whoever that fucking guy was to back off because she was taken felt foreign. I shook my head and continued to shock myself further as I wheeled the truck out of the parking lot without stopping.

“What are you doing?” Vi said, her tone unsure.

“Crawl in the back. There is a black duffel with a dry T-shirt, hoodie, and track pants.”What the fuck was I doing?

I never offered a woman my stuff. That was the boyfriend zone.

“You sure?”

Even though I really wasn’t, I nodded.

“Thanks. Here’s the address,” she said, handing me her phone.

Vi kicked off her heels, and oh sweet lord, she did exactly as I asked and crawled into the back seat. Her short little dress pulled up around her waist on the way. I stared into my rearview mirror at her adorable ass and the even sexier matching pink thong.

“I’m sorry, they make this look so easy in the movies,” she said, and I had to adjust quickly as she wiggled her ass back and forth right beside my face. My mouth watered as I turned my head, wanting to nip at her hip. I had to force my eyes away before I did just that.

“Geez-us,” Vi swore, and I smirked as she managed to flop into the back and then right herself. Her hair was most certainly wild now as it stood all over the place like she’d just been fucked hard in my backseat. I decided I really liked that fucking look on her. The only difference was that I wanted to give her a reason that didn’t have to do with rain or crawling around inside my truck for her to have that look.

Just when I thought I was safe from almost crashing the truck due to distraction, Vi pulled the dress off over her head and sat there in her bra as she dug around in my bag. Holy fuck. The pink bra was completely see through from the rain and her nipples were rock hard from the chill. My cock was hard, too but not from being cold.

I forced my eyes back onto the road before I really did drive into a ditch or light post. Vi didn’t know it yet, but she’d managed to gain my undivided attention. What did that mean? She was going to find out, and all of it had to do with her writhing in pleasure.

“I suddenly wish I’d worn running shoes,” Vi said, pulling me out of my very vivid fantasy as she crawled back over the seat. Glancing over at her, I fought back a smile. She looked like she was drowning in my clothes, and I liked that a lot more than I should.

“Sorry, that is one thing I don’t think would fit you unless you can wear a size thirteen shoe,” I said.

“I think I’ll pass. As it is, my boss will look at me strange.” She looked down at the hoodie. “So you’re a Greenbay fan, huh?”

“Don’t tell me you like the Patriots? I may have to stop at the side of the road and let you out,” I teased.

Vi laughed, and I loved the sound. “Wash your mouth out. No, but my dad was a Steelers fan, so I’ve kept up with tradition and cheer for them when I have time to watch.” She looked at me and smiled as she let down her hair and fluffed it out with her fingers. My pulse jumped as I watched her casually play with her hair and all the while I wanted to wrap it around my hand. “I think that’s where we’re heading,” Vi said and pointed toward the parking tower.

Pulling my credentials out of my pocket, I rolled up to the barricade.
