“Still strange?” he asks.

“Still perfect.”

His smile is soft enough to make me want to ruin it. I close my hand around his cock through his boxers and watch his eyes shut.

“Mandy,” he warns again.

“Yes?”

“If you are trying to test the limits of a newly engaged man, I should warn you they are not impressive.”

“We can work on your stamina during the engagement.”

“Cheeky.”

He bends and kisses me, laughing into my mouth. The laughter goes when his hand slips beneath my bra and cups my breast. I arch into his palm, then lift my arms so he can strip the rest of my clothes away.

I reach into the bedside drawer for a condom and hold it up.

He tears the packet and rolls it on. Then he sits against the headboard and pats his thigh.

“Come here.”

I crawl towards him. ‘That was suspiciously confident.’

“Committed relationship. I am allowed to know what my future wife likes.”

I straddle his lap, one knee on either side of his hips. His hands settle at my waist, but he waits for me to guide him inside.

The stretch makes us both go quiet. I lower myself until I am sitting fully on him, our chests touching, his arms locked around my back.

This position leaves nowhere to hide. I can see every change in his face and feel every breath he takes. His ring brushes my spine. Mine rests against the back of his neck.

“I love you,” he says.

“I know.”

His eyebrows rise.

I kiss him. “I love you too, you needy sod.”

“Much better.”

I begin to move, lifting and rolling my hips. Peter lets me choose the pace at first, his mouth moving over my neck and shoulder, his hands roaming with the easy familiarity of a man who has learnt my body and still enjoys discovering it.

“Tell me,” I say.

He looks up. “Tell you what?”

“What your future wife likes.”

His hands tighten on my hips. “She likes being in charge.”

“Correct.”

“She likes pretending she is not desperate for me.”

I lift myself slowly, keeping only the tip of him inside. “Careful.”
