The next morning,I lay flat on my back, blinking at the ceiling. My muscles were still sore, but the good kind of sore. The delicious ache between my legs that meant I had been fucked within an inch of my life. There was a subtle but not unpleasant smell in the air. It was more of a musk than anything else. I was so languid that I didn’t want to move from this bed.

I blinked again, willing the ceiling to come into focus.

Doshax was a sex god. I had never had such amazing sex before him. I tried to count the number of orgasms I had but couldn’t remember all of them. Three? Four? He was a hell of a man. I was glad that he had found me first instead of my friends. They were all taller and prettier than I was.

The bathroom door swooshed open, and I blearily turned my head to see Doshax walk out. A smug smile graced his handsome face. “You look pretty self-satisfied.”

Doshax flicked his towel over the chair by the desk, leaving his beautiful, muscled body on display. His kok was growing. Or maybe he was just naturally that big.

“I am satisfied, very satisfied. I made you cry out many times yesterday, and that makes me happy.”

I was still so relaxed that all I could do was dreamily smile. Seriously, I couldn’t do much else. “I hope I satisfied you as well. Not that I did much, I—”

In a flash, he was beside the bed, leaning over me with both arms on either side of my shoulders, his face inches from mine.

“Crap, you’re fast!”

“Do not talk badly about yourself. You are beautiful, and I would have not gotten that hard for anyone else. The other human females do nothing. Other Kuh Mow Dow females did nothing for me. My quills rise for you alone. I just have to think of you, and my kok gets so hard I could drill cyndagrade crystals.”

I grinned and wrapped my arms around his neck. I tried to raise myself to kiss him, but my abs were sore. As if reading my mind, Doshax lowered his head and kissed me slowly, tenderly. I moaned into his mouth. He pulled back, and we smiled at each other.

Then he stepped back and walked around the room, picking up his pants and boots.

“Hey, get back here!”

He smirked. “I am going to check on Ned and the pirate.”

I huffed a laugh, then slowly rolled myself to sit at the edge of the bed. “Just give me a minute. I'll take a shower, and then I'll join you. I want to hear what he has to say.” Then I frowned. “Wait, did you call him a pirate?”

Doshax nodded as he pulled his pants on commando. That was so hot, but I needed a break, or I’d probably need to have a turn in the medpod.

“Is he one of the pirates that you had been chasing? How many pirates were there? And they just smuggle stuff, right?”

Doshax didn’t look at me for a bit. That was odd. What was he not telling me?

“Usually, there is not just one pirate ship. They hold merchant ships hostage for ransom, if the ship is lucky. More often, the IGS finds ships floating in space with their crew and passengers dead.”

Yikes.

“I need to find out how many crashed in this area. I can make weapons, but I need to know how many to make and what defenses to set up around the ship.”

Wow, he was really good at this soldier stuff. Doshax kissed me quickly, then left the room. Which was good, because I was too sore to do anything more. Even though that kiss, that quick brush of his lips, made me ache for him.

I dragged myself off the bed and shuffled to the bathroom. Women must overrun his planet trying to snag them a male, whatever species he was. Hot, damn sex machine should be their species’ name.

Finishing my shower in record time, I put my clothes on commando, just like Doshax had. I drew the line at putting on used underwear after a shower. I hoped this ship had a laundry room.

Leaving the room, I walked down the corridor to the room with bunk beds just a few doors down. Miranda and Ava stood outside the open door. I could hear the pirate’s whiny voice already.

“—Don't know, okay? Like I already told you, Mack knew all that information. We never knew where to meet up until the day of. Or if it’s a long distance away, then we find out about twelve hours before. It’s always a location in space, never on a planet or space station.”

“Do you meet in the same space more than once?” Doshax asked.

I moved to the side of the doorway so I could see in the room. Doshax stood beside the bunk bed. The pirate was tied to the metal frame.

“We'd been meeting in this sector every other time.” He squinted at Doshax. “Nobody had caught on yet until you did today. Your men, you still haven’t found them yet?”
