I had been kidnappedby a tall, blue, spiky alien. Sure, he had saved me from the weird green rats, and helped me clean my bites and put an aloe vera type gel on them, but HE WAS A BLUE ALIEN!
I’d scream, but I couldn’t open my mouth while bouncing against his back. And I was pretty sure the alien was male with how his pants bulged between his legs. I felt like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder. The alien moved fast, bending under and jumping over those big, fat, pointy leaves. He was probably saving me from whatever was making all that dust in the air. But still, he was an alien, an actual alien that was at least seven feet tall, bright blue, with short, black porcupine spikes along his head and back. Which were right next to me as I hung upside down.
The ground was really packed in this area, and not much dirt was kicked up by the alien’s boots as he ran. Which I was thankful for because I didn’t want a face full of orange dust.
I’d be hyperventilating if I could catch my breath. How did a blue alien end up in Utah? And how had no one noticed him? And what were those weird green desert rats? And why was he bright blue? He looked nothing like the short gray aliens from the Roswell crash. Or the movies.
It was hard to think while flopping against the alien’s back with his strong arm around my thighs. Even if he was a scary alien, he hadn’t hurt me. He held me firmly but gently, though his warm hand was almost on my butt. And speaking of butts, this alien’s ass was fine. I had a closeup view of it just a foot away.
I thought back to when he lifted his shirt to cut off a strip for my washcloth. He had abs that didn’t quit. Then I looked up to his strong, square jaw. I couldn’t see the rest of his face under his sunglasses. I had originally thought he had a mohawk then realized it wasn’t longer hair standing up but something like porcupine quills. I was embarrassed to admit that my body had definitely appreciated and reacted to him. How could I not? He was hot.
But I still didn’t appreciate being kidnapped, even if the alien was a super-tall, hot Smurf. And we were far enough away from the plants now that I wanted to be back on the ground. It hurt bouncing against his shoulder.
“Hey!”
He didn’t stop running.
I pounded on his back with my fists. Then kicked my legs. Either he couldn’t feel it, or he had decided not to stop. I sighed and hoped like hell my cruise ship wasn’t that far away. And that I could find it again.
When the big, lizard-like, brown and green dinosaur-looking thing crashed through the plants behind us, I was suddenly very glad the alien had not put me down. The lizard was huge, nearly as tall as those gigantic plants.
I spit out dirt that had gotten in my mouth while I had stared with my mouth open. I tried to get a better look at the lizards, but it was nearly impossible hanging upside down while bouncing against the alien’s back. I couldn’t recognize what those animals were other than huge lizards—and there weren’t any ten-foot-tall lizards in Utah.
Or on Earth.
I turned and looked at the landscape. It was one hell of an ab workout holding my head up, pushing my hands against his back, but I managed to do it. I guess being scared to death that you weren’t on Earth anymore gave you extraordinary strength.
I didn’t recognize the scraggly little bushes that looked dead. Or the tall cliffs like skyscrapers in the distance. And don’t forget the purple sky. These were all adding up to a big, fat where the hell was I?
I lowered myself back down. I couldn’t believe, and didn't want to believe, we were on another planet besides Earth. How could that have happened? It couldn’t have. We’d been in space going to the Moon. Then that weird green stuff appeared, and we woke up crashed on this planet.
All my strength was gone, and I hung down, alternately staring at the ground and his ass. It was a nice ass.
I couldn’t believe he was still running while carrying me. How strong was he? He must have been limber because he turned to look back while still running. My mind went to places it shouldn’t while escaping from giant lizards on what was probably an alien planet. While being saved by an alien that smelled like sexy musk and leather.
The alien started to slow, and I looked back at the lizards, but they stayed by the green plants in the distance. Good. I didn’t feel like getting eaten today.
He finally stopped and set me down on my feet. Then I promptly fell over. “I’m okay, just dizzy. Plus, my legs are a little numb.”
I sat, catching my breath and stared at the alien. He wasn’t even breathing heavily. The quills had been flat on his back while he ran, but now they stood up part way, even the ones on his head. It didn’t look too weird since they blended in with his black hair really well.
I couldn’t see his eyes because he still had those big sunglasses on. I hoped they weren’t bright red. Not only would that be an odd color combination, but it would freak me out.
His stomach muscles were still on display since he had cut off part of his shirt to make a washcloth for me. Most men this handsome were assholes, but he had saved me from those rat things, taken care of me, and saved me again from the giant lizards. Whoever he was, I felt he wasn’t a jerk and I could trust him.
I wanted to smack myself in the head as I stood up. What was I thinking? I had to locate water, find help, and get back to the ship. Emma still needed medical attention, and the others would run out of water and food in a few days. I had no time to daydream about how amazing the alien man was.
