She smiled wide as she stood to her feet, holding her hand out. I shook it. I tightened my smile as the wheels started to spin. He got that sloppy fat nasty ass bitch pregnant and was telling people she was his wife!
“I work out daily. I’m pretty sure my baby bump will come out sooner than later.” I smiled as I rubbed my flat stomach.
“Don’t rush it, sister. Right this way. I’m pretty sure he will be so happy to see you.”
“Yes, he will, and surprised.” I smiled back sinisterly. I followed her and peeped how fat her ass was for a white girl. I was pretty sure Praise was hitting that and hitting it well. After taking the elevator up to the third floor, we walked a couple more steps before we came upon double glass doors. Jessica tapped the door twice and waited for a response. I wished these glass doors was see-through, so I could see him before he seen me.
“It’s open.”
Just hearing his deep baritone voice sent chills down my spine. Jessica opened both double doors and pushed them opened. Praise back was turned, he stood by his floor to ceiling windows puffing on a huge cigar. The tight button-down shirt did nothing to hide his muscular physique.
“Your wife is here to see you, Mr. Brownston. My God, she is a sight for sore eyes,” Jessica beamed as Praise quickly turned around with a wide smile on his face. Once he laid eyes on me, that smile dropped as my lips stretched wide. I smiled with pride as I licked my red covered lips.
“Hi baby, I heard you have been looking for me.”
Jessica walked out, shutting the office doors. I turned around and locked the door as I stood before him. Those pretty gray eyes darkened as he stared hard at me, flexing his shoulders and rotating his head. I gave him a moment to take me in. Over the past years I got my glow back, my shape right and I looked good as hell.
“Aren’t you happy to see me? We have so much catching up to do.”
I walked up to him and threw my arms around him. Pulling him close I kissed him on the neck and enjoyed his rocked-up body close and up against mine. I had been waiting on this moment for a long time. I didn’t care that he didn’t hug me back. This was the moment I’ve been waiting for. I wanted him to see how bad I had missed him.
“I’m so sorry baby, I got scared and I-”
Placing his massive hands around my small neck he choked me, snatching the breath right out of my body. I struggled to breathe. I watched every vain pop out his forehead.
“Bitch, are you out of your fuckin mind?” He roared loud. All the confidence I had left in me was replaced with fear. Praise slung me like I weighed nothing but ten pounds. I could feel the pain shoot up my back from being thrown so hard to the floor.
“P, I’m so sorry!” I sobbed as I held my hands up in surrender.
“Why the fuck are you here, Nia?”
His face showed confusion, anger, and hurt. He looked at me with so much disdain, my heart cracked like the first time he had ever broke it.
“I came to make things right! I fucked up so bad and I wish I could take it all back!”
“Ain’t no take backs when you disloyal as fuck… You’re fraud as hell, Nia. You really got the audacity to show your face?” I forced myself to stand, swallowing down my fear as I tried to speak from the heart.
“You broke me, P! I kept wanting more, yet I never realized that you didn’t know how to give me more.”
He chuckled lowly as he took a seat in his office chair.
“Look at you, Nia. This the real you… You didn’t even dress this way when we were together. You were miserable with me ‘cause you was a fraud this whole time. This is who you truly are.”
Opening his desk drawer, he pulled out a pre rolled blunt. Next, he pulled out a gun, followed by a silencer. My heart start thumping out of my chest.
“I started living for myself and putting myself first. You couldn’t do it, so I finally did that shit for me.”
“Nia, I really loved you. I ain’t know how to fuckin love you the correct way, but I know what I felt for your fraud ass was real. You couldn’t just leave a nigga? You had to crush me?”
Sparking up his blunt, he leaned back in his chair. His hand stroked the gun that was positioned in the center of his oak wood desk.
“I wanted to hurt you like you hurt me, P! Look at all the shit you have done to me. You would have never let me live my life if I did walk away… you wouldn’t have let me go.”
“Because you belonged to me, Nia!” Slamming his hand on the desk, he started to have a crazed look in his eyes.
“Bitch, you had me thinking you were dead! Do you know what the fuck that did to me, Nia?” He didn’t give me a chance to answer him as tears welled up in my eyes.
“The shit damn near broke me! Yea, I treated you wrong and mishandled your heart, but I would’ve fixed it! I was willing that day to set you free, so you could find yourself! Never should you love a person so much to the point of losing your own self. You didn’t love yourself and you didn’t set the bar for you. So, I didn’t know how to fuckin love you properly. You don’t get ya boy back like that though,” his voice dropped; he was masking his feelings.
