Juicy kept telling me to relax and that shit would be okay. I wanted to believe her, but babies were at high risk for SIDS up until about six months. So, I kept a close eye on Matt day in and day out. Besides that, I was still waiting on Leandra to confirm who it was that was bold enough to rob her and place hands on her. I knew it was Michael; I just needed the confirmation. On top of that, I needed some pussy bad. No way in hell Juicy and I were about to wait six weeks to get it the fuck on. She had me fucked up, too, if she thought she was about to take heed to that shit.

She was too comfortable prancing around me in boy shirts, no bra, nipples hard, thighs thick as fuck. I was craving her ass bad as hell. I was ready to dump more of my seeds deep inside of her. I didn’t give a fuck if we had a thousand kids. As long as I was able to stay buried deep inside of her, she could keep producing until the end of time.

“What you in here thinking so hard on, son?” Leandra flopped down on the couch with a cigarette stuck between her lips.

“I know you are not about to spark that in here.”

Smacking her lips, she dug in her bra, taking the Newport one hundred box out and placing the cigarette back inside.

“I saw on the calendar you had an appointment today with your therapist and doctor.” She rose her eyebrows at me, taking a slow sip of whatever the hell that was in her cup.

“I talked to my doctor on Zoom, and my knee is fine. I can miss an appointment or two.”

I really wanted to tell her to mind her damn business, but I was trying my hardest to work on my approach with folks, especially my mom. It took respect to get it, so I gave it to her, hoping she would do the same. Before she could say anything else, I got to the point. I was tired of her giving me the runaround. Mattea, Matthew, and Juicy were down for a nap, so we had all the time now to talk and discuss what had happened.

“Who robbed you and put hands on you, Ma? If you don’t answer me, I’m gon’ go back to calling you, Leandra. I’m sick of you bullshitting me. You know exactly who I am and how I give it up. Somebody out roaming free with no worries after putting hands and taking from my momma is not working for me. You keep downplaying the situation like it’s not important when it is. You keep saying it ain’t that nigga, Michael when I feel it is. If you don’t want me to wrongfully beat his ass, I suggest you speak up on that shit.” My jaw clenched. The very thought in itself made me want to explode.

“Don’t go giving me ultimatums, Praise. I told you that I would talk when I’m good and got damn ready to,” he snapped, rolling her eyes. I hopped up and started pacing. I had to calm myself down, or else this conversation was bound to go left.

“You’re going about this shit wrong, Leandra,” I spat as I gave her a cold look.

“I am not, but you will go about it all wrong if I tell you who it is.”

I stopped pacing and looked her in the eyes, and she confirmed everything I wanted to know. I was going to beat Michael’s ass bad.

“It’s sad that you still protecting this nigga, Ma. He doesn’t want help, and he made that clear. You were on the phone a couple of nights back, crying and begging this pussy ass nigga to get help and let us take him to rehab. What the fuck did he say to that shit?”

Tapping her nails because she was nervous, she looked everywhere as her eyes misted up.

“Family don’t kill family, Praise.”

“Beast! My name is Beast! You’re wrong! Family don’t set you up, fuck ya ex and ya baby momma! Family don’t steal and beat they momma! Family ain’t ‘posed to do a lot of shit! This is why we can’t get along! You don’t fuckin get it. Now, I’m supposed to let this nigga violate you in the worse way and swallow that shit down.”

Pulling my phone out, I shot Stone a text to pull up. It felt like fire was burning in my chest, and I needed to desperately put the flames out.

“Go get dressed. You’re going to take me to him,” I tried to say it as calmly as possible.

“I can’t let you kill my baby, Praise.” Her bottom lip started trembling as she continued, “Would you be okay with Mattea or Matthew asking you or telling you that they want to kill one another?”

We said nothing as we stared at each other hard for a couple of seconds until Kayori walked in holding Matthew. She patted his back softly. Turning my attention away from them, I continued my stare off with Leandra. What she was saying registered in my head, and I understood her position in the whole situation. The only difference is that my kids would never do any hoe shit like Michael was on. I was tired of people acting like I didn’t have feelings. Murder wasn’t on my mind either, but he needed to learn a fuckin lesson. People acted like I wasn’t human, like everything about me was invincible and that shit fucked with me.

Some shit did bother a nigga. At one point in time, I did everything I could for my brother. Anytime he cried or hurt himself, I was there. Killing him would kill a huge part of myself. That’s one of the main reasons I allowed the lil nigga to still be breathing this long after all the shit he did. It wasn’t Leandra keeping him alive. That just sounded good. It was me keeping him alive because if I wanted someone dead, nobody in the world could stop me but God himself.

“Leandra, you okay?” Kayori asked. She took a seat on the couch, pulled one of her breasts out, and popped it in Matt’s mouth. Before I could interject, my mom told her everything. While she talked, Kayori had her eyes locked in on me as disappointment danced in her eyes. They were all about to piss me the fuck off.

“You’re really going to kill your brother, Beast?” she asked in disbelief.

My anger was rising sky high. I wanted to punch a wall so fuckin bad, but I had to contain myself. I didn’t need to startle my baby.

“You think I really want to kill my fuckin brother? I could’ve killed him a long time ago, and you know that shit, Leandra,” I spoke through gritted teeth.

“Y’all treat me like I’m not human, like a nigga just some fuckin devil. When the fuck have you self-centered mothafuckas asked me how the fuck I feel about all this shit or if I’m hurting behind my own flesh and blood betrayal? Y’all don’t think I fucking bleed? Like I don’t shed tears or some shit?”

“Baby, don’t feel that way. You know we care. You know this,” Kayori tried to plead.

“Fuck outta here, man, Leandra, get ready. You’re taking me to this nigga. I’m finna beat his ass like he did you, then drag his ass to rehab.” I walked out; my word was final. I was done being fucking nice. That nigga needed his ass beat, and it wasn’t any nicer way to put the shit.

Stone pulled up soon as I made it to the front of Kayori’s condo. I was getting sick of this place too. I was used to being in a big space. My assistant seemed to be dragging her feet on finding me a place. I wanted another huge home out here to share and start a bigger family with Kayori. This place wasn’t secure enough for my family, and each day that went by had me anxious to move ASAP. Brick and Dion stood on each side of me as Stone stayed put in the car. He knew I was on bullshit by the looks of what I had on. I had some black Nike sweats, my all-black Timberland boots, and a black beater. My nine-milli was visible as well.
