“I love you… three?” Grif teased, and Wendy felt the pinch of humor, a laugh pouring out of her.

Wendy let herself fall in the middle of them, grabbing one of their hands in each of her own and grinning like a fool at the ceiling.

“Someone’s happy,” Grif muttered.

“Can you blame me?”

Her eyes widened as she heard the front door open again. Then close. And then silence.

They’d left clothes all over the floor, completely forgetting that the Stoners were bringing dinner over.

If that wasn’t sign enough, the intensity of their scents flooding the apartment would be.

“I guess it went well then, huh?” Tate yelled.

Wendy rolled her eyes at the pair of chuckle heads in the living room.

The affection that sang in her chest was multiplied by the echo of matching emotions from her new bond.

Yeah. She could say it went well.

Epilogue

WENDY

Wendy didn’t get to see Tate and Arlo to tell them what a success the plan was until the next day.

Griffith and Nic packed her away in the car and hit the road without telling her a thing. It was only a twenty-minute drive from the apartments, but in just that small amount of time they began to see more trees and less buildings.

The longer they drove the more her mind wandered. She was still buzzing from the news they’d given her that day.

The Sterlings had been officially blacklisted from the Omega Center. They’d never be able to fool another unsuspecting omega again, and even though Niles claimed he was keeping the secrets close, it seemed like she was hearing about the Sterlings and their famous clients less and less.

With a sly grin, she kept her eye on the road, hoping to see something familiar. Wendy was still searching by the time they pulled into a small parking lot.

Frowning, she leaned up and looked through the windshield, eyeing the two-story building with the aged foreclosure sign stuck out front.

“What is this? I thought you already found a space for the gym.”

It was a weird-shaped building. The contractors had gone a little overboard with the gables, but the round tower slapped on the corner gave it some character.

The clicks of their seatbelts unbuckling filled the car, and Wendy was the first to step out. The chilly breeze was more bearable than it had been in the past weeks, and she turned her face up to the sun.

Nic waited until Tate and Arlo had joined them before making their way to the front.

“So technicality, this is a commercial space. Don’t ask me why an insurance building would have a castle tower, but when I saw it, I immediately thought of you, Wendy,” Nic admitted.

“Come on,” he said, and led them to the front door. Tapered brick steps led to the porch, and Wendy ate up the details of the place with her curious gaze.

She arched a brow at the beep beep beep of Nic unlocking the realtor box, and at the clack of the key falling out. The knob rattled as he unlocked it, and Wendy followed Nic excitedly as he walked in.

“It’s a house turned business, but we’re gonna turn it back into a house. Come look at the round room.”

“You bought this?” Wendy screeched, steps echoing as she chased after him.

“Well, duh. How could I not? It reminded us of the heat hut Tate and Arlo set up.”

Nic stepped aside, revealing the round room… and she gasped.
