“We have to talk.”

She gripped my waist, holding me close. “Yes, we do.”

“But all I want to do is kiss you again.”

“Wait.”

She rolled over, out of my arms, grabbing something on her nightstand. I chuckled as she pressed a TicTac to my lips, popping two into her own mouth and chewing furiously. A little morning breath wasn’t going to stop me from kissing her, but I appreciated her worry.

She snuggled against me, gripping my T-shirt. “Ready.”

“Eager, are we?”

“Chase, I don’t remember much from last night, but I remember your mouth. I want it again.”

That was all I needed. I brushed her hair back from her face, cupping her cheek, I stroked the soft skin, smiling at the feel of it under my fingers. Her breathing picked up as I lowered my head, barely touching her lips. “This changes everything,” I whispered.

“I know,” she responded, pursing her mouth and following my movement as I eased back a little.

“Slow, Cinnamon. I’ve been wanting this so much, I want to enjoy it. Savor you.”

She growled. A real, actual growl and she fisted my shirt. “Savor it later, Chase.”

And she crashed her mouth to mine.

I decided TicTacs were a gift from God. Her mouth was minty, and whatever reservations she had fled as soon as our lips touched. I kissed her hard, fisting her hair in my hands, needing her as close as possible. The only thing between us was the thin cotton of her shirt. I explored every inch of her mouth, letting her do the same to mine. I groaned as she nipped my top lip, then licked it to ease the sting. She pushed at the material of my shirt, her hands finding my skin, gliding up and down over my back and making me shudder. My cock leaked for her, and I gasped as she moved her hand from my back to cup me through my sweats. “Is this all for me?”

“Every inch.”

At the same time, she plunged her hand under my waistband, I dipped my fingers under the edge of her lacy underwear. The slickness of her made me groan. Her hand wrapped around my dick made me harder.

“We have to talk,” I said, trying desperately not to thrust into her hand as she stroked me. “You have to listen—”

She cut me off. “We will. But I want this, Chase. I need it. Please.”

I covered her mouth again and gave her what she asked for. I teased her clit with my thumb, stroking it and giving the hard button the attention it was demanding. I slid two fingers inside her, pumping them in a steady rhythm, keeping the pressure on the nub that made her pant and open her legs wider. She stroked me steadily, the feel of her palm soft and firm all at the same time. She ran her thumb over the crown, gathering the wetness and using it to glide her fingers over me. I grunted in pleasure. She moaned in satisfaction. I went faster, racing toward my release. Desperate for hers. She stiffened and cried out, and I buried my face into her neck, coming hard with her.

We stilled, our movements slowing. I withdrew my hand, gathering her close. She nestled into my chest, her breathing choppy and fast, matching mine. I pressed a kiss to her head. Then again. And again. I couldn’t stop. She laughed, nuzzling my chest. “You’re so affectionate. I like that.”

She glanced up, and I kissed the end of her nose, then traced the bridge of it and along the top of her cheeks. “These dots, Hannah. They drive me to distraction. They are so fucking sexy. You are so fucking sexy.”

She blinked, smiling shyly at me. “No one has ever told me I was sexy.”

“How is that even possible?” I asked, ghosting kisses over her sweet freckles.

“My last boyfriend said I was cute. Not sexy. When we broke up, he told me, if he was being honest, I was a little funny-looking. He had overlooked it long enough.”

I pulled back, meeting her eyes. “Give me his address. I’ll overlook the fact that he’s standing in front of my truck and knock him down a few times until he’s funny-looking.”

She smiled, cupping my cheek, stroking the skin in gentle passes. I leaned into her caresses.

“You are too sweet,” she murmured. “No one has ever offered to drive over an ex either. But no need. I don’t want you to go back to jail.”

I stiffened, and her eyes flew open wide when she realized what she’d said.

“You know?” I asked. “You know about my past?”
