No one has said anything about that since.
And there is nothing more important than clearing that up.
Right. Fucking. Now.
“Abby.”
Her head pops up, and she looks at me, her blue eyes, the eyes I want to drown in, widen.
“Yes?”
“I’m fucking crazy about you.”
Her eyes go even rounder. She swallows. “Oh.”
I feel my mouth curl into a smile. “Come on, now. That’s not a surprise.”
She studies me, then slowly, her mouth also curves. “I know you like me.”
I move in closer. She’s standing next to the kitchen island, and as I get closer, her back presses into the edge.
“I do like you, Lollipop,” I tell her. “I like you so much.”
I reach out and take her water bottle from her fingers. She lets it go. I take that as a sure sign that she’s okay with this.
“And I think you like me. A lot.”
She nods. “I do.”
“And I think you like Dash. A lot.”
She looks over at my best friend. “I do.”
“And I think you like Benjamin. A lot.”
She turns her head to look at my brother. “I do,” she says softly.
“I think you trust us, too.”
She nods. “Yes.”
“And I think you feel that there’s a special connection here. One none of us have felt before.”
“Is that true for you all?” she asks.
“One thousand percent,” I confirm.
“Good.”
My smile grows. “So in light of all of that, I think you need to date us. All of us. Let us take care of you. Let us show you how good it can be.”
She takes a deep breath. “Can that really work?” she asks. “No one will get jealous? Or feel left out?”
I lift my hand and brush the backs of my knuckles over her cheek. “Oh, Lollipop, that’s the best part. No one is going to be left out. Of anything.”
A little tremor goes through her. “Not anything?” she asks.
“Not anything,” I repeat. “We’re all in this, all of it, together.”
