CHAPTER EIGHT

Ethan

It felt strange admitting it out loud for the first time ever, but, as she sat there staring at me, I started to wonder if I had made a terrible mistake. I couldn't tell if she was going to panic and change her mind or be accepting of what I had just confessed. After a long silence, she shook head at me, a smile spreading across her face as she stared at me.

"That's the best news I've heard in a long time," she stated, catching me off guard. Frowning in confusion, I tilted my head at her, trying to figure out what she meant by that. When I didn't say anything, she blushed in embarrassment. "I just made it weird, didn't I?" Immediately, I shook my head in response.

"No, not at all," I reassured her. As she stared back at me, I continued. "I guess what has me confused is the fact that I don't really know what you mean when you say that." After realizing what I meant, she lowered her gaze and nodded.

"I've been wanting to try being a Little for quite some time," she admitted as she looked back up at me. "I just never had much luck finding a Daddy all this time. They always seem to want the more outspoken and grown up Littles than someone childish like me." Raising an eyebrow at me, I tilted my head at her.

"Really?" I asked. When she nodded in response, I couldn't help but shake my head at her. "I'm sorry, I can't believe that the Daddies aren't flocking towards you. You seem like the perfect Little, especially if you actually don't go flaunting around town like most Littles in big cities." Pausing, I started to smile. "So, what exactly do you like to do?" She smiled back as her eyes sparkled.

"I like to play with the stuffed animals," she admitted. My eyes widened in surprise as I considered this for a moment.

"What about movies?" I asked. "Do you watch more kids movies than movies rated for adults?" She nodded in response, and I couldn't help but smile. "Do you also like to play games from your childhood, collect dolls or toys, and read picture books just because you like seeing the illustrations?" Again, she nodded, and I couldn't help but smile. "You really are a Little!" Frowning in confusion, she tilted her head at me.

"Yes," she said, sounding as confused as she looked. "Is that a problem?" Immediately, I shook my head at her.

"Of course," I reassured her. "I just wanted to make sure because of how some people don't seem to fully understand the concept of being a Little. There's so many fakes out there that it's hard to tell without making sure." She tilted her head at me as she considered this.

"So, does this mean that you're a Daddy?" she asked, and I nodded in response. Surprised, she considered this. "So this works out for you the same way it works out for me, doesn't it?" Thinking about it, I shrugged as I started to smile.

"I guess so," I agreed before turning my attention back towards the half decorated living room we had been talking in. "I should probably get back to work. It's not safe to have lights hanging around the room like this. If you want, we can talk about this later on over dinner. That way, we aren't getting distracted by the work we're trying to accomplish." She considered this for a moment before nodding.

"I guess you're right," she agreed. Rising to her feet, she smiled at me. "If you want more coffee, there's some in the kitchen. Otherwise, let me know if you need anything. I'm going to finish cleaning up and getting some stuff done." Seeing this as fair, I took another sip of coffee, which was still hot.

"I'm going to finish putting up the light in here, then I need to go finish setting up the lights," I informed her. "Let me know if you need any help."

At that point, we went our separate ways, and I got back to work. The whole time I worked, I couldn't get over the fact that my luck had turned out so well. Not only did Diana want to spend time with me, but she was also a Little.

By the time lunch time had come, I was finished setting everything up, and I made my way back inside to warm up. As soon as I got inside, the smell of freshly baked cookies and soup filled the air, topped off with the smell of baked bread. The room was brightly lit, and I saw Diana come out of the kitchen with mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a candy cane.

"I was about to come get you," she informed me. "I made lunch."
