She shrugged. “Your father was away on business when I went into labor. The first one...You, Shay came easily and I thought I was done but when the second one Drew was born, I couldn’t believe it. The doctor explained to me that he was a hider. Back then, there weren’t ultrasounds to detect this sort of thing. I didn’t want two sons. I was only required to have one as an heir.”

“So you fucking threw him away?” Joshua yelled. “Of all the cruelty you have done—” His voice cracked. “This...” He looked like he’d been hit by a train. “Why?”

Shrugging, she replied, “You know why. We had to be the perfect family. We agreed to one boy and one girl only, remember? That had been our agreement. I’d forgotten that twins run in my family.”

Shay stared at her.

She looked away from him.

Leaning forward, Shay whispered, “You didn’t!”

Joshua looked from him to her as it seemed to dawn on him. “Oh, God, no!”

Elizabeth raised her head and said, “I only kept the girl.”

The men all sucked in deep breaths.

Joshua trembled from his head down to his toes as he looked absolutely horrified. “Y-you gave birth to...” He choked on a sob. “Two sets of...” He swallowed heavily. “I had 2 children out there that I never knew about?” His voice was rising. “My God woman, you aren’t fucking human!” he shouted and bolted up as he did reach her this time. Wrapping his hands around her neck, he was crying and laughing as he choked the life from her.

Her arms with the chains flailed around as she tried to push him off.

The guards were on him, but he growled and refused to let go. “I will kill you! I’ll kill you!” Joshua was screaming as if he’d gone insane.

The guards had a hell of a time getting him off of her as they dragged him up.

Elizabeth took great big gasps of air as her hands went to her throat. “It had to be perfect!” she rasped out. “I did my part!”

Drew and Shay had both stayed in their seats.

“I hope you rot!” Joshua screamed at her. “I hope you suffer in hell!” He fought the guards. “Just die, Bitch! DIE!” He then looked frozen as he took a great big gasp of air and his eyes rolled up in his head.

Shay stood and called out, “Get medical, he’s going into cardiac arrest!”....

Chapter Two

After Shay finished his story, the room stayed quiet for a minute then James muttered, “Damn.”

Bane stared at Shay. “Seems us Jessin boys did not have a monopoly on crazy ass mean mothers.”

Shay sighed. “She truly felt no remorse for any of it.”

Bane’s expression looked like stone. “Ours never did either but she was an actual psycho-killer too.” He held out his hand and snapped his fingers at him. “Give me your phone.”

Shay reached into his pocket and handed it over. “What are you going to do?”

“Try to find where the call was placed from. Then I’m going to find him.” Bane turned and walked back into his security room. He hooked up Shay’s phone and ran his own program.

One by one the others joined him.

“Damn,” James murmured as he watched the program. “Hitmen can be clever.”

Bane scoffed then he got immersed in his search for Shay’s brother. Then he located his phone. He switched programs to the city’s street cameras and got in. Scanning the streets, he found they were in a town not too far from here... at a motel on the outskirts.

Bane knew the area well. He had stayed at that very motel. He knew then that the Wolves had the advantage but only for the moment.

Finally, Shay moved forward and whispered, “Did you find him?”

Bane looked up at Shay and nodded. “I think so.” He paused then added, “Actually, he’s not that far away, maybe twenty minutes or so. They have him in an old motel just outside of Warsaw. I know a quick way to get there but we have to be careful. They can’t see us as we scope the place out and find Drew.
