The barest of kisses touched her bud, but that was it.

Then a kiss to her entrance.

Another to the crease where her leg met her torso.

Kate tugged on the ropes binding her wrists, desperate to grab Leo’s hair and force him to touch her where she needed him. The ropes held, no matter how much she fought them, and she relished the slight burn on her skin because at least it was feeling something.

Anything.

She had never in her life been more desperate for a touch.

A chuckle rumbled through Leo, and his lips were close enough to her bundle of nerves that she gasped at the sensations. Had it ever felt this good before? Who knew being deprived of your sight and your ability to do anything but lie helplessly was so exhilarating, so arousing.

“Watching you like this has me so hard it hurts,” Leo murmured. “Are you feeling everything, Katie-Bear?”

“Everything,” she whimpered. “Please, I need you.”

“Love it when you beg me. What do you need, babe?”

“Your mouth, please. I want you to make me come.”

“Your wish is my command.”

Then, finally, he was on her. His lips touched kisses to her entrance, then her bud, backward and forward between the two, offering nothing more than light kisses, until she was breathless and panting, mindless with her need to come.

Those kisses grew deeper, harder, his tongue darting out to tease her entrance, before flicking at her bundle of nerves. Again, he alternated between the two, driving her wilder, higher, closer to the precipice she was desperate to plummet off.

Spreading her wider, he speared his tongue into her, stroking deep, before closing his lips around her bud and sucking hard, scraping his teeth against the sensitive nerves, and she fell apart.

An orgasm more powerful than anything she’d experienced before ripped through her. It felt like it tore her apart, her body, her soul, her heart, then put them all back together again the way they were always supposed to be.

There was no time to float down from the Milky Way soaring heights, because Leo was slamming inside her, making her gasp at the sudden sting as she stretched to accommodate his size. That sting quickly morphed to pleasure as he took her hard, fast, frenetic.

Ripping off the blindfold, their gazes met.

In Leo’s, she read everything she needed to know. It was all there as he laid himself bare before her. His regret over the past, his guilt for not being there to support her and their daughter, his love for them, and his promise that he would never let her down again, no matter the pressure he might feel to do what he thought was best without discussing it with her first.

When his lips crashed down on hers, and his fingers reached between their joined bodies to tweak her already sensitive bud, she came apart a second time. Wave after wave of pleasure crashed over her. If it wasn't for the man she loved kissing her like he could never get enough, it might have been enough to wash her away.

It might have taken her longer to get where she wanted to be than she could have imagined when she first developed a crush on Leo. There might have been more bumps along the way, more twists and turns, than she could have envisioned. But in this moment, none of that mattered, because Leo was hers and she was his.

Forever.

“What are you building?” Kate asked as she wandered out of the house and into the yard.

“Apparently, this space isn’t ‘summer-ready’,” Lion replied, making air quotes with his fingers as he used the words Rose had earlier. As far as he was concerned, this open space around the mansion was purely for practical purposes. It served as a final line of defense, since there was no way to cross it without being spotted.

But they didn't have to live in fear of being hunted any longer.

It was a difficult notion to become accustomed to, given how many years they’d spent on the run and hiding out there, and Lion knew it would take time to accept.
