Stella looks between her and Ozzy. “Is it too much black? I didn’t even realize.”

“Nah.” Celine waves her hand nonchalantly. “I don’t think anyone would expect anything different

from the two of you.”

“You’re meeting us at the restaurant?” I ask Celine.

“Yep. I’ll be there.”

“Good.” I sound more hopeful than I meant to. I just want to spend as much time with Celine as I

can while I’m here. God, I’m pathetic. This hold she has on me is ridiculous, and she’s not even

trying.

“I’ve got to pregame at home before being around all of those fancy-schmancy people.”

“Oh, god. Please be careful,” Stella tells her. She looks worried for her friend. It’s a known fact

that Celine loves a good party.

“Don’t worry. I know the line between classy and messy. I won’t cross it… tonight,” Celine

answers with a devious smile. I love that smile. I like the version of Celine that keeps everyone on

their toes. I think that's why I’ve never been able to get her out of my goddamn mind.

Ozzy and Stella make their way to the front door. I stand to follow them, stopping to rough up

Celine’s hair before I leave. “See ya later, Red.” She sticks her tongue out at me before I round the

corner.

The wedding rehearsal ended up taking longer than I expected. I guess I thought it would be like a

quick run-through of tomorrow’s events, but really it’s like choreographing a damn play. They made

me walk down the aisle three times because I was walking too fast. I had to match the exact pace they

were expecting.

I don’t think Wes and Hazel really give a shit how fast or slow I walk down the aisle, but their

wedding planner might just rip my eyeballs out if I don’t get it right on the actual day. I’m pretty sure

Ozzy and I hold our breath when she walks around us at the altar to make sure our posture is correct.

We’re more than a little relieved when they announce the rehearsal is over, and we can all meet at

the restaurant. I can’t get out of here fast enough.

When I pull up, Celine is sitting outside with Hazel’s two best friends. The first thing I notice is

her damn legs on display. She has a little purple dress on that looks easy enough for me to rip off.

I shake my head to myself. I’ve got to stop this. I can’t have her, and drooling over her won’t help

anything. She doesn’t want me that way, and the only person hurting because of it is me.
