He unclips my hair and gently spreads it over the back of the tub before taking more shots.
Then he pulls a chair over, climbs on it, and aims his camera down at me. “Pretend I’m not here. Look out the window,” he directs. His voice has lost its playfulness as he focuses on getting the perfect shot.
“It’s hard to pretend you’re not there.” I sneak a glance at him, and I’m having a hard time not giggling.
He smirks from behind his camera. “I know you can’t keep your eyes off me, Sunshine. But just try for a few minutes.”
I resist the urge to splash him and mess up the set he’s created. He takes a few shots and sprinkles the rose petals on the bubbles.
He changes my position so I’m sitting up, staring out the window. He takes the shots from behind and the side.
I haven’t even seen the pictures, but I already know they’re going to be beautiful, not because of me, but because of Hawke’s vision. I feel like a real model, and it’s fun seeing him in work mode. He’s not as playful as usual and gives me direction, occasionally tilting my chin in a specific direction. He bites his bottom lip when he’s focusing, and it’s absolutely adorable.
After moving me in every position he wants, he sets his camera down and drains the tub. He hands me a towel to dry off.
“How’d I do?” I ask him as I wrap the towel around myself.
“You are stunning, Sunshine. The best pictures I’ve ever taken.”
“Don’t lie, Hawke.”
He cups my face. “I’m not lying. I don’t think you realize how fucking beautiful you are. I could take pictures of you in a paper sack, and they would be amazing.”
Then he kisses me. A slow, agonizing kiss full of emotion. One that knows that this is on a time limit quickly ending.
He pulls the towel from me and leads me to his bed, where he makes love to me. It’s not like our usual sex. There’s no dirty talking. It’s slow. Hot. Like we’re trying to memorize everything about each other. Every inch of my body is sensitive to his touch. My orgasm hits me with such force I can barely breathe. When he finishes and collapses on top of me, I feel tears prick my eyes. How am I going to make it out of here without a broken heart?
Only one more day with him. One more day in paradise.
CHAPTER 20
Hawke
Today is the day I’ve been dreading. It’s our last full day in Mexico. We fly out tomorrow morning, so I’ve got to make the most of today. I’ve promised myself that I’m going to talk to Summer, tell her how I feel, and ask her if we could try a relationship.
Honestly, I’m terrified.
I’ve never had a real girlfriend. I never wanted one. But I’ve always wanted Summer. Now that I’ve had her, I can’t imagine letting her go. I hope to God she feels the same way.
The hard part is deciding the best time to talk to her. Also known as I’m scared of her rejecting me, so I keep pushing it off.
We’re at our table at breakfast, the one we’ve sat at for the entire trip. I can’t take my eyes off her as she stares out the window at the ocean. She looks so relaxed and content while I’m nervously bouncing my knee and wiping the sweat off my hands. I’ve never been nervous around women before, but Summer has done a number on me.
My thoughts are interrupted when I hear Holden’s voice. “Morning, guys.”
I love my brother, but this is my time with Summer, and I don’t want him here. My jaw clenches to keep from saying something I’ll regret, like, “Get the fuck out of here.”
Holden pulls out a chair for Carly before taking the only other empty seat at our table. “What’re the plans for the day?”
We spent all afternoon yesterday at the beach and the pool with our families. It was chill and fun, but today I want to be with just Summer. My plans include making her ride my face before burying my cock in her. Then some cuddling, telling her how beautiful she is, and hopefully convincing her to give me a chance. A real chance.
Summer looks at me with pleading eyes like she wants me to say something and somehow get us out of hanging out with these two.
But I have no idea what to say that wouldn’t hurt my brother’s feelings or piss him off, so I keep my mouth shut.
Summer finally speaks up after a long, awkward pause. “Not sure. I don’t think we had any specific plans for today. What about you?”
Holden shrugs. “We were thinking beach. Maybe we could see about doing the jet skis again.”
