“Tanner,” Miles murmured. “Like that.”

Tanner moaned and kissed him again, letting their tongues tangle. Miles felt so good under him, his body moving with his, and Tanner could feel how hard his cock was. Their precome helped them move and Tanner shuddered when Miles’ hands gripped his ass.

They kept kissing as they moved, and Tanner reached up, gripping Miles’ hair and tugging on it. Miles gasped, his body shaking, hips arching. “Again.”

Tanner pulled his hair as he moved faster, rotating his hips and keeping their dicks rubbing against each other. “Close,” he murmured into their kiss.

Miles whimpered. “Come, Tanner. I want you to come on me.”

Tanner moaned at Miles’ words, his balls tightening. “Fuck,” he muttered, his body shaking. “Fuck, I’m coming.” Tanner groaned loudly, his body shuddering as he came. He closed his eyes as pleasure flowed through him, sweeping him away. He was vaguely aware of Miles crying out beneath him, his body shaking as Tanner collapsed on top of him.

Tanner eventually rolled onto his back and stared at the ceiling while he tried to get his breathing under control. His skin felt too warm, and his heart still raced in his chest.

Miles rolled onto his side and looked at him, but Tanner said nothing.

After a minute, Miles sat up and reached for his clothes. Tanner watched him pull on his jeans, then his shirt.

“You leaving?” Tanner asked.

Miles looked over. “Yeah.”

Tanner looked away. “Right.” He should have known it would end like this. He’d been lucky they’d ended up in bed after they’d had sex in the kitchen.

“I need to get back to the station before anyone starts asking where I am,” Miles said.

Tanner nodded. “Okay.”

Miles bent to pick up his socks, then finished getting dressed. When he was done, he stood beside the bed for a second.

“I’ll come by later,” he said. “See where you are.” He shrugged. “Help with anything, if you need it.”

Tanner nodded again.

Miles hesitated, then asked, “Will you be okay?”

“I’m fine.”

Miles nodded, his eyes flickering over Tanner’s face. “Okay.”

He went to the bathroom, and Tanner heard the faucet run. A minute later, Miles came back to the bedroom door.

“Lock the door after me,” he said.

“Yeah.”

Miles looked at him for a second, then left.

Tanner heard the front door open and shut. He stayed where he was for a moment, then rubbed a hand over his face and sat up.

He swung his legs over the side of the bed and reached for his jeans. The floor was cold under his bare feet, but he ignored it. By the time he pulled them on, the silence felt different somehow. Too empty after having somebody else in the room. Tanner wasn’t used to missing people. Usually, things felt easier once someone was gone, but this didn’t.

Tanner shoved that thought aside and left the bedroom.

In the kitchen, Tanner saw the papers still lay scattered across the table and floor. One of the forms had ended up near the table leg. His shirt was by the counter. Miles’ pen was still on the side.

Tanner stood there for a second, staring at it all, then he bent and picked everything up.

He stacked the paperwork on the counter and rubbed a hand over the back of his neck. He’d need to look through it properly. He’d need to figure out the utility numbers, and the forms.
