“You’re such a dickhead.”
“What else was I supposed to do? He ignored every chirp I threw at him on the ice.” I laugh. “Didn’t talk to me until I offered him Raisinets. Then he made this face like I’d handed him actual dog shit.”
Cody rolls his eyes. “That’s because they taste exactly like that.”
“Nuh, uh. Only regular raisins do.”
He shakes his head. “You’re fucking impossible.”
“I try.”
“It wasn’t a compliment.” He settles in next to me, the side of his body pressed against mine. “And when you guys got older, he ended up billeting with your family?”
My body tenses, chest tight enough I can’t take a deep breath. “No.”
His brows pull together. “But I thought you two lived together? Was it with another family?”
I wipe my clammy palms on my jeans. “He needed a place to stay. Family shit. We took him in.”
Cody chews his bottom lip and looks back at the screen. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to pry.”
“You’re good, Little J.”
He elbows me in the ribs, eyes narrowed, face scrunched. “Really?”
“Oh, sorry. I mean, Jenkins. Wait, no.” I tap my chin and look at the ceiling. “Little Shit?”
He punches me in the side, a tiny growl rumbling from his chest.
“You really are cute when you get pissy.” I lean in and kiss him.
He grunts, but then melts into me, swiping his tongue against mine, teeth catching my bottom lip.
“Damn, Little J.”
“Shut it.”
I chuckle and kiss him again, pulling his right leg over my thighs until he’s straddling me. He moans and grinds his hard length along mine.
“Fuck, Cody.” I drag my tongue up the side of his neck. “Do that again.”
He does. Slower. Harder. His hips roll, and my head drops back against the couch.
“You feel so fucking good.” I palm his ass and squeeze, pulling him tighter against me. “Keep going.”
He’s panting, grinding faster. “Atlas?”
“Hm?”
“How come you never try to have sex with me?”
I pull back and look at him. His cheeks are flushed, lips swollen, pupils blown so wide the blue is almost gone.
“Hunter fucked me. You haven't. We just dry hump, or you jerk us off. You seem perfectly content with that. Am I not . . .” His jaw clenches, eyes downcast. “Forget it.”
“Cody.”
“I said forget it.”
