“Fuck.” I sighed as the chilly fingers moved back and forth, soaking in my arousal. When they grazed my clit, I cried out into the darkness of the hood still inches from my face. Before I fell over the peak headfirst into an orgasm, the creature stopped its agonizing ministrations and moved to circle my entrance.
“Please,” I begged. “Please, do it. I need you inside me.” My words were jagged like the bark digging into my back.
After what seemed like hours of playfully moving over me, the creature finally slid a finger deep and I clenched around the coldness. When it thrusted in and out, stars shot across my vision.
Climbing higher and higher, my moans grew louder and louder. When I neared the precipice again, my pussy fluttered around the finger furiously. Cold seared my clit as the creature brought its thumb to stroke in tandem with the finger curling deliciously against my walls.
It was all too much. The stimulation sent me over, and the orgasm wracked my body with shivers. I rode the creature’s hand until I floated back to earth, tiny aftershocks gripping the finger still lodged deep in my pussy.
Finally the creature withdrew and brought the gray fingers up to its hood. They disappeared into the darkness and sucking sounds filled my ears. I was soaked all over again at the thought of the creature licking my wetness off its hand.
“I want to know what you are,” I asked. “I need to know.”
The voice wasn’t as deep when it answered, a hint of playfulness tinging the words. “Does it matter what I am as long as you come, little flame?”
“Well—” I huffed. “I guess not, but I want to know.”
“Maybe, someday you’ll know. Until then, you’re going to keep coming back to my woods and I’m going to keep making this sweet pussy weep for me. You’re mine, Jade. You were from the moment I saved you,” the creature rasped.
This was more than it had spoken thus far, and its voice sounded almost feminine whereas before it was deeper. Heat flooded me again, despite the coldness still seeping into my body from the creature or the air it controlled. I wasn’t sure where it was coming from, but I didn’t care.
“If I’m yours—whatever that means—then I deserve to know what I’m fucking, don’t you think?” I smirked.
The hand that had just been dripping with me came up to tighten around my throat again. “All you need to worry about are these fingers.” Squeeze. “And this tongue.”
As soon as the words left its mouth, it darted its head forward covering my face with its hood. Icy lips brushed my cheek, followed by a swipe of the tongue I’d dreamt of. I uttered a gasp at the touch and I longed for more.
“Let me taste you,” I breathed. “Kiss me. Please.”
What sounded like a chuckle filled the hood and then the creature’s lips were on mine. Chaste at first, but then my mouth was forced open and it licked my lips before diving inside. Our tongues danced with each other and the coldness stoked the fire between my legs. It was everywhere inside my mouth and then it went so far down my throat I almost gagged.
My eyes drifted closed as the creature caressed the roof of my mouth and then it was gone. The tongue, the fingers around my neck, the body pressing me into the tree. My eyes shot open, and without the weight holding me up, I fell to my knees in the dirt and crunchy leaves.
“Oh, come on, really?” I yelled into the woods. “You’re just going to leave me like this?”
I pulled myself to my feet, a groan leaving my lips, and trudged to my things still resting on the rocks. A mix of satisfaction from everything that had happened that night along with annoyance at the creature’s departure settled in, leaving me bittersweet at the ordeal.
Mine. It said it again, like the first night, and I wasn’t sure I had a choice in the matter. Not that I would’ve chosen otherwise.
Chapter 10
The nearly finished painting stared back at me from the easel. When I got home in the early hours of the morning, I’d gone straight to painting instead of going to bed. Even on my days off, I usually kept my sleeping schedule the same so I didn’t get off track. Last night was no different and even with the relaxation from the orgasm in the woods, I’d been wired.
The sunlight peeked through the shades as I cleaned my brushes at the kitchen sink. My mind still couldn’t wrap itself around the creature and the experience in the woods. I was no closer to figuring out what it was, but I was certainly more invested now. I hadn’t had a release like that in years—maybe ever.
Sleep tugged at my mind as I got into bed and I wondered why I’d been so intrigued by the thing in the first place. It wasn’t normal, and if I told anyone they would say I was crazy. Even Jenna. Still, the creature and the orgasms it had given me were very real. As I fell into a deep sleep, I still felt the coldness between my thighs.
“Jade, I’m sorry. Ashley is still sick, and Eli’s dad won’t come into town to help.” Ruby’s tired voice came through the other end of the phone. “Since he moved last year, he won’t help Ash out at all. He says it's too difficult to drive the two hours unless it's his time with Eli.”
I dropped my head in my hands and tried to not let frustration seep into my voice. “It’s alright, Ruby. I understand the situation you’re in. I’m just glad your daughter has you to take care of her and the kiddo when she’s sick.” If I were the one who was sick, I wouldn’t have anyone to help except maybe Jenna so I was glad Ruby was there for her daughter.
“Thanks, Jade. I owe you so much for this week. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
The call ended and I rubbed my eyes. Busy was an understatement. I’d had a few double shifts because of Ruby’s absence. Our hotel was small enough for one front desk worker at night, but during the day we needed two. Of course, no one else offered to pick up Ruby’s shifts. As the most senior member of the staff and the fact that I had no obligations at home, meant I usually stepped in.
Typically unbothered by it and glad for the extra money, this time I was agitated. I’d been so tired after work I went home every day and immediately fell into bed. I missed my creature and I was hoping to stop by for a visit after work, but instead, I had to call around to find someone to cover Ruby’s shift. If I couldn’t find anyone, I’d have to at least work through check outs.
Which was exactly what I did. When I walked into my house in the early afternoon the hair on the back of my neck stood on end as soon as I stepped inside. I looked around and found nothing out of place. I shrugged it off, showered and slid between the sheets of my bed.
