“We were just telling Mac how much we love it. You’re super talented,” Charvi says.

“Thanks.” I push up on my toes and kiss the edge of his jaw. “He really inspires me.”

“I’ll be your muse anytime.” And I can see he means it.

And I feel it in my heart when he kisses me, in front of our friends, and all these people, that I’m authentically his and he’s mine.

CHAPTER 25

MAC

Istretch out next to Fee on my bed. “As nice as it is to hang out with our friends, I’m glad I finally have you to myself.”

“Same. Showing off your new hoodie was nice and all, but I’m kind of done sharing your attention tonight.” Fee runs her fingers through my hair and pulls my mouth to hers.

We get lost in the kiss, soft tongues exploring, hands in PG places. But I can’t stop thinking about last night, especially when she makes a plaintive sound and presses her hips into mine.

I break the kiss, breath coming in quick pants. “I made you a promise.”

Her tongue drags across her bottom lip. “You did.”

“I’d like to keep it now.” I trace the contour of her face.

Her breath leaves her in a rush. “Yes, please.”

“Do you trust me to take good care of you, Ophelia?” I ask as I slip my hand under her shirt.

“Yes,” she breathes. “I know you will.”

I skim her ribs, and her shirt bunches at my wrist as I expose her stomach. She raises her hands over her head, and I tug her shirt off, tossing it aside as I reveal the lush swell of her soft breasts. I trace the edge of the cups, watching goose bumps rise along her skin. Her nipples pebble under the thin fabric and I brush one with my thumb.

“Oh fuck.” She arches into my touch.

“Is that a good oh fuck?”

She nods. “Please do more of that.”

I bend to press a kiss to her clavicle.

“Oh! Wait!”

I pull back.

“Can I take your shirt off, too?” Fee's expression is adorably hopeful.

“You want to ogle me?” I tease.

Her eyebrow quirks. “Uh yeah, hands down I do.”

“Good. I love your eyes on me.”

“I love my eyes on you, too.” She slips her warm fingers under my shirt and pulls the fabric over my head.

She bites her lip and makes a low sound in the back of throat, running her hand over my chest. “You should never wear a shirt.”

“Might be awkward at family dinners.”

“It’s only awkward if you make it awkward.” Her eyes light up. “You can take my bra off, too, so we match.”
