“Now, sit.” Shelby directed. “Get your own coffee. Let’s talk.”

Shelby stayed for over an hour, and by the time she left, Juliet felt like she was on Cloud Nine.

They were going to handle engineering, mastering, and distribution. Setting up a tour – not as big as Juliet was used to, Shelby had forewarned – as if Juliet could care about that.

They got to retain full creative control.

All because: I’ve thought you two sounded like magic together years ago when the world already loved you both. But I have the suspicion you’re going to do something even better when you’re building something you love, together.

Juliet stood there, staring at the closed door for several moments after Shelby left. Then she slowly turned toward Darcy, who was standing a few feet back, a hesitant smile on her lips.

Emotion whipped through her so violently she almost couldn’t breathe. “You…”

“I wanted you to have something that makes you feel good.”

Juliet swiftly closed the distance between them, tugging Darcy against her as she surged up to kiss her. Hard and demanding, holding Darcy’s perfectly curvy body against her own.

Darcy made a surprised sound into her mouth before melting into the kiss, giving right into Juliet’s demand.

She didn’t stop kissing her, not even when she felt lightheaded. From both what had just transpired and from the desire that was already starting to throb through her body. She felt… everything. And she felt it for Darcy, and she wanted to express it now.

She felt Darcy laughing against her lips. “Baby–”

“No,” Juliet growled, tugging Darcy’s bottom lip between her teeth, greedily taking in Darcy’s groan.

With her hands on Darcy’s hips, she walked her backwards, and she only broke their kiss to bring her mouth to Darcy’s neck. Running her lips over the soft skin, feeling Darcy’s breath hitch.

“You’ve been making secret business meetings with Shelby Linwood,” she murmured against Darcy’s neck, before nipping her teeth in sharply.

Darcy whimpered against her ear. “I – I have.”

Juliet licked over that spot, laving it with her tongue, feeling Darcy shudder against her. “You’ve been planning it for weeks.”

“God – yes,” Darcy agreed, breathlessly, as she dug her fingernails into Juliet’s back through her shirt.

Juliet shivered, too, and her clothing felt far too tight, too restrictive. She pushed back from Darcy, truly taking her in. How heavily she was breathing, the color high on her cheeks. The dark look in her eyes, how she was already staring at Juliet with such obvious desire. It made Juliet’s clit fucking pulse, a pulse she felt through her entire body.

“Strip for me,” she ordered, leaning back so she could really watch Darcy.

Whose eyebrows lifted and a small, sexy smile played on her lips, as she did precisely as Juliet asked.

The fabric of her shirt whispered over soft skin, revealing the curve of her waist, and then her generous breasts, spilling out of her bra even before she unhooked it and slid it down her arms.

The arousal thrummed through Juliet’s entire being as she raked her eyes over Darcy. This woman was hers. This woman, whose face could make angels weep in envy and whose body could have been sculpted by the finest artists in history, was the person Juliet got to be with.

And the entire world knew.

And they were working on an album that would be produced by Shelby Linwood.

Because this woman loved Juliet enough to figure out how to make it happen.

She licked her lips as Darcy slid her pants off, standing in front of Juliet in only her red, lacy underwear.

“Those, too. I want you to strip. Everything.”

Darcy didn’t put up a fight. She hooked her thumbs in the waist and pulled them down, her wetness having already soaked through the thin fabric.

“Doesn’t it feel better not to have those on anymore?” Juliet asked, arching her eyebrows up. “They’re so wet.”
