By the time the two of them had stopped arguing, we barely made it home before Juju arrived. Opening her truck door, I took the food bags and handed them to Lawless and Lurch.

Then I kissed her slowly, taking my time.

When I finally released her, she looked up at me with dazed brown eyes and a happy smile.

Fuck, she was beautiful.

“Missed you today, darlin’. How was the shop?”

“Good.” She ran her tongue over her lower lip. “I missed you too. We got our first few orders in. The ranchers seem happy to have us in town.”

I slid an arm around her shoulders, guiding us towards the house. “They will be. Means they don’t have to wait on deliveries if they run short. You might end up busier than you think.”

She shrugged lightly. “Suits me. I like being busy, and the bigger our orders, the bigger our discounts from the suppliers. I’m good with that.”

We stepped inside and shrugged off our jackets. My gaze caught on her cut, and something deep in my chest tightened.

Pride and possession filled me.

Fuck me, I was a caveman.

“Come on, you two, before the bottomless pit gets into this,” Lurch called from the kitchen.

“Fuck you,” Lawless fired back. “I’m waiting for Juju to dish up first.”

“See? Knew you had manners in there somewhere,” Lurch shot back.

I huffed out a breath. “Fucking children, the pair of them.”

Juju laughed softly as she slipped off her boots, then pressed a kiss to my cheek.

“They’re your brothers, and you love them. I wouldn’t have them any other way.” She grinned and sashayed into the kitchen.

Shaking my head, I toed off my boots and followed her.

She was right. These men were closer to me than most. They were my family. I’d have them at my back any day of the week.

CHAPTER 18

THE MOLE

Iwatched as the brothers left church. None of them seemed overly worried, and that made me nervous. I knew they had someone watching them when they were out and about in town, but they must suspect something by now.

That stupid bitch, Barbara, got herself chucked out of the club for being an idiot. Now I was having to do all the work myself. And I’d rather not have a target on my back from the new Ol’ Lady.

I was a good judge of character. Juju Fraser was as loyal as they came. If she even suspected me, I knew I’d see the edge of the blade she’d threatened Barb with. Of that, I had no doubt. A shiver ran down my spine at the thought.

Slipping out before one of the brothers could grab me, I made my way to my room, shutting and locking the door behind me. I checked it twice to make sure it was secure. Dropping to my knees at the edge of the bed, I opened the blanket box. I moved the bedding out of the way to locate the hidden compartment and the phone stashed there.

Taking it out, I input the number I’d memorised and waited for the ringing to stop. My grip tightened on the phone as I waited.

Someone answered within a few rings. “What do you want?”

Fucking dickhead. I hated the way he spoke to me. “You better have information for me.”

“Depends.”

“Don’t play with me. Has he said anything?”
