“And now?”
I look at her.
She’s wearing my shirt, eating breakfast in my kitchen, and her things are already starting to appear around the cabin.
Instead of wanting them gone, I’m thinking about where the rest will fit.
“Now you broke into my house.”
Her eyes narrow.
“That is not an answer.”
“It is.”
“Gavin.”
“Strategy failed.”
Her smile starts small and spreads.
“For the record, I’m glad.”
“So am I.”
The satellite phone vibrates against the counter.
Her smile disappears.
I pick it up. It’s one of my contacts.
FOUND THE TARGET. SENDING LOCATION.
I straighten.
Hannah watches my face.
“What?”
I forward the message to Kaden.
“We found Declan.”
Back to work.
Chapter 9
Gavin
Hannah goes still.
“Where is he?”
“Wildwood.”
Her brows pull together.
“He’s here?”
