“Settle down, boy. We came here to dance.” They were the last words Saul ever expected himself to say, but this wasn’t about him. It was about Levi. It was about letting Levi dance through all the happiness that apparently wanted to explode inside him.
It was also about Levi being too horny and denied to even think. To make sure that he knew that Daddy was in charge and was going to take care of him.
Even if it meant dancing.
Levi pouted at him, clearly aware of exactly how adorable he looked.
Saul brushed a kiss over his lips. “You’re cute as fuck, and we’re not leaving yet.”
Levi wrinkled his nose and Saul had to kiss him again. “Dancing.”
With a sigh, Levi turned around, grasping Saul’s arms to keep them wrapped around his chest. Saul released the lock of his legs, but Levi was still cupped between them, grinding back with his ass like the naughty boy he was.
Saul had forgotten that there was another person next to them, but Levi clearly hadn’t. “Hey Neil. This is my Daddy, Saul. Daddy, this is Neil.”
Saul disentangled one arm to shake hands. Neil’s grip was sure and strong. He was a little older, a bit heavy-set, also wearing a button-down shirt, and, yeah, basically another Daddy-type.
“Hi, Saul. Levi was telling me all about you. I’m totally jealous.”
Saul bristled. Did this dude just make a pass at his boy right in front of him?
“I know!” Levi’s voice was triumphant.
“Why are all the good Daddies taken?” Neil complained.
Oh. Ohhhh. It was like tonight was trying to hit Saul over the head with his own stereotyped misconceptions.
“I’m sure you’ll find your Daddy,” Levi commiserated. “My suggestion? Get a sparkly t-shirt.”
Saul turned Levi to the side to see his shirt. The tiny scrap of white fabric said Daddy’s boy in glittering blue letters.
Dammit. Just when Saul didn’t think Levi could be more affirming and amazing, he did something like that. It wasn’t just a declaration of Levi’s identity, but a public claiming of their relationship together.
“I like your shirt, baby,” he whispered in his ear.
“See? Daddy likes my shirt,” Levi reported to Neil. “That means it’s working. I’ve been waiting and waiting to wear this one.” He squeezed Saul’s arms tighter around his chest. “I have a bunch of other ones that just say boy or brat or stuff like that, though. It really helps in a place like this.”
“I don’t think I could ever wear something like that. It’s too… not like me. I’d look ridiculous.”
Levi laid a hand over Neil’s, stretching out across the bar counter. “Trust me. Buy the shirt. I thought I was too tall and awkward for stuff like this, but you kind of have to embrace the awkward and just pretend. So get up your courage and just wear it once. The Daddies will be swarming all over you.”
Was that how Levi felt all the time? Like he was too tall and awkward so he had to pretend? Or did he used to feel that way and then grew into himself a bit more? He always seemed so comfortable and exuberant, but there were clearly some old wounds.
Saul wanted to sew them all up. Or perhaps the right metaphor would be to kiss them and make them all better.
Neil was still looking glum and disbelieving, so Saul spoke up. “I don’t know you at all, Neil, but I have to say I agree with Levi. There’s a Daddy out there for you somewhere. And you could totally grab some attention with a shirt that says boy on it.
“You don’t need to wear a teensy scrap of fabric like this naughty boy.” He pinched Levi’s side, eliciting a shriek. “If you’re worried about how you’ll look, just get a solid black T in your regular size. The Daddies will definitely notice.” He didn’t know where he was coming from with this advice, since he’d been a Daddy for all of one day. But he did believe in everyone finding their match, and he knew all about using t-shirts to assert his identity.
“Oh, and one more thing. Make a profile on Cuffd.”
“The kink app? Isn’t that for, like, hard-core stuff?”
“Nope,” Levi took over. “Fair disclosure, we work there. Well, Daddy owns it.” He giggled. “But people use it all the time to just select one thing, like Daddy kink. The app will just match you with people who have similar interests.”
“Wow. Thanks, guys. This means a lot to me.”
“No problem. Hey, want to exchange numbers? We could hang out sometime.”
