“Yes! And kisses?”
“Of course.”
“And what if I’m naughty?”
Yeah, he knew Levi had plans for the evening. “Then I suppose you’d earn a punishment.”
“Like spankings.”
“Yes. And what if you were a good boy?”
“Oh, I would be a very good boy and get rewards.” Saul didn’t even need to glance at him to know he’d be bouncing with excitement.
“Definitely. Like what?”
“Tying me up and, well, doing whatever you want to do.”
Bingo. Saul would definitely be setting some limits later, but for right now, all he wanted to do was spoil him. “So dinner, cuddles, and bondage?”
“And then more cuddles and you hold me while I sleep.”
Saul could see how someone might interpret these delighted requests as pushy, but he liked that Levi asked for what he wanted. It meant that he didn’t have to guess, and they could both get what they wanted. “That sounds like a perfect evening with my boy.”
“Because you’ll take care of me and I’m all yours.”
Saul’s heart melted. Sometimes Levi couldn’t quite put his desires into words, but sometimes he said it so purely that it just cut right through him.
“That’s right. Because I’ll take care of you and you’re all mine.”

Inside the house, Levi spun in a small circle, looking at everything.
Saul tried to see it through his eyes. He’d bought the house when he’d been with his ex, and some of the furniture, like the black leather living room set, had been her choice. The art on the walls was all things that his friends had given him or he’d selected.
“I can’t believe you have built-in bookshelves!”
Saul smiled. “I had those made when I got the house.” He loved to read, and he found it comforting to bring his collection into the living room.
“And you have a fireplace! Does it work?”
“It does. I don’t think I’ve used it in a year or two, but it should be OK. There’s a woodpile in the back.”
“Can we roast marshmallows?”
“Um… not sure I have those. And, uh, the vegan ones don’t really melt.”
“Kashrut doesn’t apply to marshmallows. I mean, are they really even made out of food? They’re, like, sugar and clouds.”
Clearly, Levi’s kosher observance wasn’t very strict. “Sugar, clouds, and cow hooves, but if you need marshmallows I’ll get you marshmallows.”
Levi snuggled up against him. Their height difference was immediately apparent, with Levi’s armpit nearly level to his shoulder when he put an arm across his back. But when Levi was grinning about marshmallows, he didn’t mind at all.
“Can we have a fire tonight?”
“If you don’t mind putting your coat back on to get some wood.”
“Sure!”
