As soon as Jamie said the words, he wished he could swallow them back up. He didn’t want Neil going off with a so-called Daddy who would hit on someone else’s boy without some indication that the attention would be welcomed.

In fact, he didn’t really want Neil going off with anyone else at all.

Also, he’d just told off a guest. Kind of.

Fortunately, the man looked amused. His eyes shifted to Neil for a moment. “So are you as sassy as your friend here?”

“No, Sir.” His voice was barely a whisper. “I’m kind of boring, but I want to be good.”

“He’s not boring at all!” Jamie defended.

“You really are quite the spitfire, aren’t you?” the Dom asked, crowding closer into Jamie’s space. Ugh. He’d just crossed the line from possibly-innocent to skeevy.

“Boy!” came a growling voice from behind the couch.

Oops. Daddy wasn’t supposed to hear all of that. Usually Jamie was completely professional with guests, but he’d kind of forgotten himself with the excitement of the weekend and the chance to let a bit of their private life out into public.

“Sorry, Sir,” Jamie said immediately to the leather-Daddy-in-jeans. “I apologize for my tone.” He looked over Neil’s shoulder. “Sorry, Daddy.”

“No worries,” the guest shrugged it off. “I like my boys sassy.” He was still eyeing Jamie, like Jamie might change his mind.

Jerk. Not only was he pursuing Jamie after a clear no, but it was obvious that he’d completely dismissed Neil. Even though Jamie didn’t want Neil to go off with some other Daddy, he still wanted Neil to know that he could. Fuck, Daddies should be clamoring to get to him.

Jamie huffed under his breath.

The tsk that Daddy made behind him was hardly audible, but Jamie knew what it meant. He was in trouble.

Not because Daddy disagreed. He was probably pissed off, too. This was just a reminder that Jamie wasn’t supposed to show his frustration to someone who was paying them money that they desperately needed to keep the lodge running.

“If you’ll come with me,” Daddy interjected smoothly to the guest, “I can get you checked in. Jamie, don’t move from that spot.”

If this were a game, Jamie would have huffed again and played it up. But this was a real consequence. “Yes, Daddy.”

When the two men were chatting back at the desk, Neil turned to Jamie, stricken. “Did I get you in trouble?” he whispered.

Neil’s worried face stopped Jamie’s indignation short. Who cared about that asshole? The important person in all of this was Neil. “I got me in trouble. You were a perfect sweetie.” Jamie answered the question, hoping to get things back on track.

“Is your Daddy mad at you?”

“Probably disappointed. Which is much worse, I promise. I’m going to get a not-fun punishment.” He wrinkled his nose.

“Like what?” Neil looked both worried and excited.

“Probably folding laundry.” He gripped Neil’s hands to let him know the severity of the penalty. “Alone. With no music.”

“You make it sound like a fate worse than death.”

“It is!” Jamie whined. “You have no idea how much laundry a place like this goes through in a day.”

“I could help you with it,” Neil said softly. “I mean, it’s kind of my fault, too.”

“No, it’s absolutely not. Don’t even think that. Plus, if you were there, it wouldn’t be a punishment anymore.” He gave Neil a flirty smile.

A slow smile crept slowly to his face in return. “I could help you with something else, then. I mean, I don’t know if I have any skills that you need, but I could try.”

Yeah, Daddy was just going to adore this boy.

Of course, all Jamie could think of was tussling with Neil in piles of clean laundry while Daddy tried to look stern but had to laugh instead. Jamie knew that Neil wouldn’t feel free to play like that right away. But he was pretty sure that if you threw enough washcloths and pillowcases at anyone that they’d eventually retaliate. Then they’d fall into the warm sheets and tumble against each other until they were hot and hard and panting. Daddy would give them a command and...
