“So…” Sebastian blew out a breath, clearly not sure where to begin.
Jamie rolled his eyes. “What Daddy’s trying to say is that we think you’re hella sexy and we want to do a scene with you. And, you know, anything else you’re up for this weekend.”
Neil blinked. “You… a scene? Both…” Oh, God. So he hadn’t been imagining it. They were flirting with him. Both of them. He probably should have seen that coming, but clearly he was too naive about all of this kink stuff and hadn’t even figured it out. He must look like such an idiot.
“Hey, sweetie,” Jamie took his hand. “You weren’t imagining it, and you’re not an idiot.”
“Oh, God. I didn’t even know I said that out loud.” Now he felt even stupider. But they… both? With him?
“And open relationships and kink are different things, though they can overlap in different ways,” Jamie continued. “Sorry we didn’t communicate better, though. Believe it or not, we were both trying to not hit on you today until you had a chance to meet the other guests and have a conversation.”
Neil’s mouth dropped open. “That’s what it looks like when you’re not hitting on someone?”
“Yes?” Jamie looked chagrined. “I just got too excited. I do that sometimes when Daddy doesn’t remind me to slow down.”
Right. Because they must do this all the time. “Do you, uh, do this often?”
“What counts as often?” Jamie asked, as if that was at all the important part of the question.
Sebastian stepped in with a more useful answer. “We’re in an open, committed relationship. For us, that means we’ve agreed that when we’re both attracted to a person, we invite them to join us for a scene or two. It usually happens a couple times a year, often as part of a play party, but occasionally when an interesting guest wanders through or if we go to a club together in Portland.” He shrugged. “Though we haven’t gone to a club in a while. We’re getting old,” he winked.
Of course, they might be getting old, but they were still both younger than Neil by well over a decade. “So, um, why me? Am I, like, your type or something?”
Because now that he could see it, they’d both been all over him from the beginning. He just couldn’t figure out why. There were definitely younger, sexier boys right here in the room who probably would have known exactly what was going on and suggested something kinkily appropriate themselves. Neil was a nobody. An older, overweight nobody with a boring job and no idea what the hell he was doing here.
Instead of answering, Sebastian and Jamie looked at each other, which only made Neil worry more. It was one of those couple looks, where they were having whole conversations with each other that he could never hope to follow. That didn’t bode well.
Finally, they seemed to agree. Their couple ESP even seemed to have determined that Sebastian would speak first. “We haven’t talked about this with each other yet, but… you are exactly our type. Just, um, not the type that we usually have flings with.”
“What does that mean?” Neil asked flatly. He was apparently the aberration. Great.
“Well, usually we choose bratty boys, like me,” Jamie explained. “And they’re always folks who are looking for a good time and nothing else. It makes it easy to keep everyone’s emotions in line, and the expectations are simple. With you, I think we kind of got swept away. We were both trying to back off a bit in case you found someone you were interested in for more than a weekend. But a certain Daddy apparently couldn’t keep his hands to himself…” Jamie gave Sebastian a mocking glare and got a light slap on his ass in return.
“I’m not the naughty boy who’s probably been feeling Neil up all day…”
Jamie gave Sebastian a winning smile, like he was proud of himself.
Alright, so it was clear the two of them were both totally on board with this, teasing each other by flirting with him. “I still just don’t understand,” Neil finally managed to get out. “Why me?”
Jamie looked him up and down. Like Neil was sexy. Like he was delicious. It seemed impossible. “You’re just very, very subby. And kind of shy. And at first I just wanted to help you feel more comfortable, but watching your reactions is like… I don’t even know how to explain it,” he gushed.
So being subby and shy was… good? So good that Jamie didn’t even have words for it? He seemed to have a lot of words for everything.
Sebastian picked up the thread. “I don’t usually cuddle on the couch with our flings unless it’s right after a scene. Or make them sandwiches. Jamie doesn’t usually help other boys get dressed. Or whatever other naughtiness he got up to.” He gave Jamie a glare, but without any heat.
Yeah, Jamie had definitely been naughty. Neil suppressed a shiver. Now that he knew he was allowed to think that was sexy it had been… really sexy.
It was also overwhelming. Maybe even more than the rest of the evening. “So, let me just clarify. You want to have a fling with me, which involves one or more scenes, as well as cuddles and... sandwiches?” He felt silly saying it, but he needed to know.
Two heads nodded in unison.
“And then when I leave, it’s over?”
They both nodded again, though there was another round of couple ESP. They looked less hopeful and more worried about it this time.
Jamie finally translated. “Some of our play partners have come back sometimes. If it’s a good fit.”
That was a very good reminder. Even if the cuddling was different for Sebastian, it wasn’t like Neil had any real place in their lives. “So there are no emotions involved. That’s the deal, right?”
