“And I may have brought a pack of juice boxes and animal crackers with me in case a certain cute little boy got hungry or thirsty…”
Isaac just kept nodding. He could have his very own Daddy this weekend to give him juice boxes.
“So, if I didn’t get to do any of that this weekend, I would be very disappointed.” Remi put on a face of exaggerated sorrow and even sniffled like he was going to cry.
Isaac cracked up. He liked Remi. He’d enjoyed getting to know him on their hike earlier, and he was enjoying this side of him, the adoring, teasing Daddy, just as much.
Remi couldn’t hold the ridiculous expression very long, and started laughing too. It felt good to laugh with him, to be snuggled up in his arms. This was what Isaac had been wanting for so long.
Remi chucked him under the chin, looking more serious now. “All joking aside, though, you set the limits and you get to tell me what you want. I’ll follow your lead. I’m looking forward to a weekend of being your Daddy and taking care of you. If anything else happens sexually, I’ll enjoy it, and if it doesn’t, I’ll treasure everything else that we share.”
God, it was like Remi was reading from the romantic Daddy handbook. The way he met Isaac’s eyes was so caring and sincere, like he really would treasure all of their moments together.
Isaac hadn’t even let himself hope for something like that. At least not after he transitioned. That was why he’d been taking a break from dating. Yet Remi had been giving him appreciative looks all day.
Ah, fuck it. He was really going to do this. Maybe he wouldn’t have had the confidence with anyone else, but with Remi, it was like all of that Daddy magic was just oozing out of his pores. Isaac hadn’t even agreed to anything yet, and he already felt like the most special, desirable boy in the world.
“OK,” Isaac said shyly.
“OK?” Remi questioned. To be fair, Isaac hadn’t given him much context. “You mean, OK, you’ll be my boy for the weekend?”
“Yeah.”
Remi’s grin spread across his face. God, he was sexy, especially when he teasingly shook his head. “Oh no, baby boy. That’s not how you say it. Are you all mine this weekend? Try it again.”
Isaac didn’t even have to gather up his courage, because saying it felt exactly as good as he’d dreamed. “Yes, Daddy.”
“My good, brave boy,” Daddy praised, making Isaac’s chest feel all warm and pitter-pattery. “Now, do you still want to go to the event?”
“Yes, please.” It sounded like fun. And if Isaac already had a Daddy, he didn’t need to stress about anything or worry about anyone else.
“Mmmmm…” Daddy hummed with pleasure. “Polite, too. And do you want to be big or little right now?”
“I think big?” Isaac scrunched up his nose. “As long as you’re still my Daddy.”
“Oh, don’t worry sweetheart. I’m a full-time sort of Daddy, and I’m not letting you out of my sight. When it’s over, I can show you the toy basket and you can see how you’re feeling. Or if you want to regress during the mixer, just do what feels right. I’ll follow your lead.”
“OK.” That sounded perfect. Remi was perfect.
“Nope, try again,” Daddy teased.
“OK, Daddy.”
Daddy beamed down at him. “Have you ever done this before, baby boy? Had a Daddy to take care of you?”
Isaac’s face fell. He didn’t want to be reminded about that right now. “Yeah.”
Remi traced along the side of his face. “Anything you want to tell me?”
Isaac shook his head. It was still too emotional, even two years later. There was nothing that a weekend hook-up needed to know.
“Alright, baby boy. Let me ask you a different question then, is there anything you’re particularly looking for or don’t want to do?”
“No dresses,” he said immediately. “I’m not a girl.”
He hadn’t even meant to say it, because why would Remi even be thinking of that? But there was a chance that he was, so maybe it was better to get it out there.
Now it was a little bit of a test. Isaac knew some trans guys who mostly went stealth, and he completely respected their choice to not disclose their trans identities or talk about how they got there. But that wasn’t his approach. He was proud to be trans, even if he still had some insecurities about his body and identity, and he needed to be able to talk about his past. So a part of him wanted to see how Remi would handle it.
