“You might say differently if you saw how long I can pose in front of a mirror.” As soon as he said it, Isaac buried his face in his palm. “Can we forget I said that?”

“Nope. Next time, invite me over and I’ll take pictures. Or just be your fan club. Honestly, I bet you’re stronger than I am. You should be the one picking me up and slinging me around.”

Isaac giggled. “You’re silly, Daddy.”

“Mmm-hmm… Close your eyes, baby boy.” Remi dotted another round of cream over Isaac’s face, making sure to get his cheeks and nose, then rubbing it gently in. He took his time mapping out Isaac’s gentle cheekbones and smooth-shaven cheeks, tracing above his eyebrows and then dabbing at his nose.

It wasn’t quite sexual, but God, it was close. So close to the way he wanted to take care of Isaac as his little sometime, too. Maybe rubbing lotion all down that smooth body…

As if echoing his thoughts, Isaac announced, “I smell like coconuts, Daddy!”

“You do. Makes me want to gobble you all up,” he replied without even thinking. He was already imagining chasing his giggling boy around with sunscreen and tickling fingers. Now he was kind of regretting this trip. When they could be alone, back at the hotel…

He needed to get things back on track. “But no gobbling right now. We have muskrats and cormorants to see.”

“What’s a cormorant?”

Remi worked his way around to the back of Isaac’s neck. “Big, black water bird. I bet we’ll see them today. OK, all done.” He pressed a kiss to the back of Isaac’s t-shirt, just below his neck. He wanted fervently to kiss him just a little higher, even along that sexy curve of his spine. But he hadn’t been given that invitation.

Isaac turned toward him, slipping into an oh-so-innocent voice that had Remi’s cock going hard. “Do you need sunblock, Daddy?”

This boy would be the death of him. “I suppose I do.” Remi squirted a little bit into Isaac’s outstretched hand.

He closed his eyes, and gave in to the sensation of Isaac exploring his features. His little minx started tracing around his ears, barely even attempting to rub it in.

He was certain that he’d still be dotted with smears of pasty white goo at the end, but it was completely worth it. His lips parted and his breath got faster. “Are you teasing again, baby boy?” he growled.

“Just a little bit, Daddy.”

Remi opened his eyes to see a seductively confident Isaac grinning up at him. The urge to pin him against the car and devour his soft, pink lips was intense. “Who knew I would have such a naughty boy on my hands?” he said instead.

“Who, me?” Isaac stepped a little bit closer. He tipped his face up.

Did he want a kiss? Was this his way of asking? Remi held completely still, giving his boy the opportunity to close the gap.

“What do you want, baby boy?” he asked gruffly.

Isaac stepped a little closer, the need clear in his eyes. Then closer again until Remi could feel his breath on his face. He smelled like coconut from the sunblock and grape jam from breakfast, just like a little boy should.

“Remi Carson? Isaac Blum?” A shout invaded the narrow space between them. “If you’re here, please check in.”

Remi resisted the urge to bang his head into the nearest hard surface, and Isaac looked like he felt about the same way.

Remi drew in a calming breath. “We’re here! Be right over!” he called back.

He tossed the sunscreen back into the diaper bag. With one hand he rubbed what had to be globs of lotion across his face, while he grabbed Isaac’s hand with the other. “Ready, baby boy?”

“Yes, Daddy!” Isaac smiled. “Everyone on the tour is kinky, so I can say that as much as I want, right?”

“Indeed you can.”

The kayaking instructions were brief, but afterward Isaac pulled the instructor aside and asked if he could use one of the trim little canoes instead. It was fascinating how Isaac looked to Remi for direction and permission with so many little things, but wasn’t shy about taking on bigger ones.

The instructor helped him flip over one of the canoes, and then Isaac waded out to steady it while Remi stepped in. He didn’t have the faintest concerns about letting Isaac paddle him around. He knew he could end up with weeks of pain trying to recover from all the twisting if he tried, and Isaac was clearly in his element.

If anything, the freedom from paddling gave Remi more of a chance to appreciate his companion as they slid over the tranquil river. “I could watch you all day,” he said sincerely.

Isaac blushed and looked so happy that it made his heart want to burst. Between those strong ropey muscles expertly guiding the boat, Isaac’s excitement over being in the water, and knowing that he was wearing the onesie Remi bought for him, Remi didn’t want to tear his eyes away.
