Helplessly.
It was all too much. The delicious danger. The unyielding claws ringing his needy dick. The cool metal of the hoses trapping him against Quincy’s thick chest.
Evan’s eyes wanted to close, but he couldn’t tear them away as he shot creamy white cum over the thin black claws.
Quincy massaged and held him through his orgasm, bringing him down gently.
“So, you liked that?” Quincy asked.
Evan flopped back against him. “I don’t think I have any muscles left. Or bones. Or brain-thingies.”
“Thoughts?” Quincy suggested.
“Huh?”
Quincy laughed and manhandled him into bed.
Chapter 19
Quincy
Quincy drew circles on Evan’s back, enjoying the rise and fall of his chest as it pressed against his side.
Their limbs were tangled together, hoses and legs, arms and pincers.
Everything was perfect.
“What time is it?” Evan asked, words a little mushy against Quincy’s torso.
“Eight thirty-four. You slept for twenty-seven minutes.”
“Oh… uh, sorry.”
“I enjoyed it,” Quincy told him. “I like holding you.”
Evan squirmed, arranging their bodies closer together. “I like it, too.”
“I was just thinking…” Quincy started. It was a half-formed thought, but he wanted to share it anyway.
“Hmmm?”
“A lot of people helped me. You most of all.” He gave Evan a squeeze. “But there’s just a lot to learn for sparks entering society. Money. Jokes. Safety. Job training. Sex.” He winked and ran a thumb over Evan’s rosy nipple. “I’m still learning a lot about how society works and what to do, but… I’m wondering if there’s a job where I could help other sparks figure that out.”
“Oh my god! That would be perfect for you.” Evan sat up, though he kept his hands on Quincy’s body, right where they belonged. “And yes, there are tons of jobs like that. Counselors, therapists, social workers… Some will help sparks deal with trauma, and others will help with more mundane or educational needs. I’m sure there are a lot of job titles that require different types of degrees, but you could find something that works for you. Actually, you might be able to do it as a volunteer, too, without too much training.”
“Yeah? Could I start now?” Quincy wriggled, his excitement too much to contain.
“I don’t see why not. Have you looked anything up yet?”
“No…” Quincy answered, but he was already starting searches. There were tons of positions available. Hotline staff. Psychiatrists, like the ones who’d done his interview. A big sibling program. “I think that’s what I want,” he stated, becoming more convinced as he read about master’s degrees and drop-in programs.
“You’ll be amazing.” Evan leaned down to kiss him. “Just let me know what I need to do to support you.”
Quincy wiggled again. Evan had promised to show him the world, and he already had in thousands of ways, large and small.
But this felt like something even bigger.
“I think I’ll start tonight,” Quincy announced.
