Huffing short, panting breaths, I lean one hand on the door and keep stroking. As on edge as I’ve been since the moment I saw Scott in that tank top, it doesn’t take me long before I’m painting Scott’s lips, tongue, chin, and cheeks in spurt after spurt of cum. He doesn’t so much as blink when some of it splashes just below his eye.

When the last drop has been wrung from my body, I slump against the door. Scott wipes most of the cum from his cheeks and chin, but his lips are still wet with my release when he stands in front of me again. With eyes wide open, he feeds me my own cum from his tongue and lips.

My deflating cock twitches, and I groan into his mouth. I feel like I could go for hours like this, and I’d give anything to lie tangled up in each other, to kiss and touch until we're ready to go again. To spend the night and however many days it takes making up for everything we feel we need to make up for.

But we have jobs to do. People to incriminate. Reputations to save or ruin.

“I love you,” he says softly against my lips, just as a loud pounding comes from the bathroom door. Cory, probably, letting me know my five minutes have long passed.

“I know.”

“See you soon?”

“You fucking better.”

TWENTY-NINE

SCOTT

Francis: Why aren’t you answering your phone?

Scott: I don’t know about this.

Francis: About what, exactly?

Scott: About Curtis.

The phone rings for probably the sixth time since I walked away from Curtis yesterday afternoon.

Francis Calling

With a long, suffering sigh, I answer the call.

“Look, I’m not going to get in your way, but I don’t think I can be part of this. Some of what Curtis showed me was pretty fucked up.”

“Some of his ideas are a little out there, but there’s plenty enough truth to prove at least to you that they aren’t good people.”

“I’m not arguing that,” I say, and huff out another heavy breath. “Curtis told me who you are. I’m not sure if it was on purpose, but it actually makes a lot more sense now. I understand what you’re trying to do, and I’m not saying I disagree with you entirely. I just don’t want to be associated with someone like that.”

Francis lets out a short laugh. “We don’t need Curtis,” he says.

“What do you mean, then why are you working with him?”

“I’m not working with him, Scott. We aren’t partners. He’s a detestable cockroach of a human being. Curtis was merely a tool to get me in the door. Now that I’m in, I don’t need him anymore.”

“In what door?” I ask, frustration bleeding into my tone. “That’s the other thing. I don’t know if I can help if you don’t tell me what’s going on.”

“Scott…”

“I can tell you I haven’t witnessed any of the stuff Curtis showed me. You’ve already exposed the only dirty secret I know. So if all you need is gossip, I’m not your guy and you can stop calling me. I’ve already got Blake Holland breathing down my neck, I don’t need you, too.”

“What does Blake want?”

“His laptop. He found out I took it and has been trying to get me to meet up and return it to him.”

“I was wondering why he didn’t report it missing.”

“Maybe he feels bad for me?”
