“If you get my wrap from my bag, then yes.”

“Your wrap?”

“In my bag,” she said, her fingertips coming to drift along the slope of his nose. “It’s silk.”

Beni didn’t question her—not what the wrap was for, what difference it made if she had it, or why she wanted it to sleep in his bed. He simply pulled away from her, feeling the loss of her heat envelope his cock, and reached for the boxer-briefs he’d discarded earlier. He made quick work of tossing the condom to the trash next to his bedside table, and pulled on the underwear before leaving the bedroom, and the sexy woman giggling on his bed, behind.

He found her bag.

And the rather large silk wrap—which looked more like a three-by-three-foot square of silk with a teal and pink wave pattern across both sides—that had been folded up neatly inside the purse. August brightened with a smile at the sight of him coming into the bedroom, wrap in hand.

“This?”

“That,” she agreed with a nod.

He fell beside her on the bed after handing it over, and then thoroughly enthralled at the way she gathered her braids at the nape of her neck, was surprised to see her use the silk fabric to wrap her hair into a bun at the same spot, and then proceeded to use the rest of the square to wrap the top of her head as well.

“Cotton pillows are really hard on my hair,” she said.

“You look beautiful.”

And she did.

Her teeth dragged along her bottom lip. “Oh?”

“Yeah, and even better because you’re in my bed.”

That wasn’t a lie.

August shook her head, and laughed that sweet, sexy sound. “Boy, you got a lot of charm on you, huh?”

“They say it’s a Guzzi thing. All Guzzi men are the same, at the end of the day. Not sure that’s true, but we are a prideful bunch.”

“What’s that?”

“Guzzi?”

“Mmhmm.”

“My family name.”

“It sounds important.”

“Powerful,” he returned.

She considered that.

He let her.

“Like Rossi powerful?”

Smart woman.

Asking about his connections or affiliations without outright saying mafia or mob.

Beni nodded. “Exactly that.”

August fell back in the bed beside him and quirked a brow. “Well, lucky me.”
