If I were him, I’d be more worried about being stuck with a pissed off Marco for the rest of the day.
I left Marco to handle things here while I headed back to the warehouse, finding a message on my phone when I arrived.
Rory: Made it home.
Hunter: Here if you need me.
She didn’t reply and I didn’t expect her to, so I double checked the tracker to make sure she was definitely there before pointing to Bobby.
“You. Cage.”
“I’m sorry,” he said as if that fixed anything, swallowing as I shrugged my jacket off and pulled my shirt over my head, tossing them aside. He hadn’t shaved in a few weeks, his beard looking scruffy, and despite his large frame from lifting weights, he wasn’t the type to throw hands.
“We established that. Now get in the cage,” I ordered, letting myself into the cage to wait for him.
A lot of the guys were gone, but a few lingered, watching to see what was going on.
Preston looked nervous as he stood by the cage with Derek, knowing he was next.
I ruled with respect, but the respect was also built from facing consequences.
Bobby blew out a breath and joined me, shaking his arms out.
I gave him a second to warm up, then I motioned for him to come at me. He knew if he didn’t, I’d just come at him, so he charged forward and tried to clip my jaw.
I dodged it, slamming my fist into his cheek before hitting him in the side of the head with my other. He got a few good hits in, but he was definitely not the winner by the end of it.
I signaled for Preston to enter once Bobby had left the cage, and the fucker tried to charge at me with no warning.
I’d known him for almost my entire life, so I knew all of his moves.
He was twenty-five, agile, and he fought dirty. So his sneak attack was predicted and I knocked him on his ass quickly.
I knelt down by his head when I was done, wiping blood from my brow. He’d gotten a lucky shot in and hit me where Skeeter had cut my brow in our last fight.
“You ever do that shit again, you’ll be gone. Got it? I don’t ask much from you guys, but do the damn jobs you’re getting paid to do, and don’t let pussy distract you. You fucking know better.”
“Sorry, Hunt,” he sputtered, and I nodded before taking his hand and hauling him to his feet.
“Good. Clean up and head home, or to the fucking strip club to get pussy off your brain by morning. Both of you. You’d better be here first thing with bells and whistles.” They mumbled goodbye on their way out, and Derek gave me a pleading look, so I sighed and flicked a dismissive hand at him. “You go too. You know what? Whoever's here can go.”
People scampered off before I could change my mind, and I made sure the door was locked once they were all gone, then headed up to my office in the loft.
I got comfortable in my chair with a cigarette before pulling up the live feed from the security cameras at Rory’s house to check in. I frowned when I noticed the Corvette was missing, and when I checked the tracker, she was at Tyler’s.
Since the guys were always at Caden’s, we’d easily broken into their houses to set up our own hidden cameras, and I checked the ones in Tyler’s house, finding him and Rory alone in his kitchen.
I zoomed in, rolling my eyes when I realized they were snorting lines of coke. Marco had been a nightmare to get sober a few years ago, so I knew how hard addiction was. Tyler had a long road ahead of him if he ever wanted to get clean because I was pretty sure that rich prick had more drugs in his system than DNA.
I turned the volume up to spy on their conversation, hearing her laughing.
“I don’t think it’s safe, Ty.”
“Drugs usually aren’t, but you do them anyway,” he pointed out with a grin, grabbing her waist and lifting her onto the counter.
“You’re not stuffing cocaine in my pussy,” she scoffed, dropping a kiss to his lips. “Cocks only.”
“If you wanted cocks with a plural, you probably should have let Holloway join us. Or even Luke. He must be into some kinky shit if he joins you and Skeet,” he chuckled, and I raised an eyebrow.
