“Soldiers. You won’t like this, but roll with it.”

He heard me from the way he tensed, and I turned to meet Hunter’s eye, crooking a finger at him. If one Soldier was here, chances were high there was more.

Hunter instantly pushed off the wall and moved through the crowd, having no issue with me sliding a hand to the back of his neck and dancing against him for a second. His eyes narrowed suspiciously when my free hand slid under his shirt, but he stayed still as I kissed his neck, trailing my lips towards his ear.

“Soldiers are here. One off to your left,” I managed to say loud enough without hurting my throat too badly, his arms instantly sliding around me to pull me closer.

“You sure?” he asked, and I nodded, my breath catching as he slid a hand into my hair and gently pulled, forcing my eyes up to his as he leaned down, biting my lower lip playfully. “Put your mouth on me like that again and you’re getting fucked in front of your guys.”

Heat coated my skin and I almost leaned into him more. My body really didn’t get the memo that he wasn’t an option.

“Whatever this is, I’m okay with it,” Tyler announced, completely oblivious to the chaos that was unfolding, and Hunter gave him an amused smile.

“Good to know. Go down to the den with Mark. Now.”

“So bossy.”

“This isn’t a game, Velcro. Stay down there until I come down,” Hunter warned as Marco appeared, Diesel’s jacket over his arm. “Downstairs. We have company. I’ll handle it.”

Marco didn’t look that bothered, but he made quick work of scanning the room for threats.

“You sure you don’t need me?”

“Watch them and act like nothing’s wrong,” Hunter answered, giving me a look to do as I was told.

Knowing my gun wouldn’t be much use right now in a crowded party, I followed Marco like I was told. At least it was easier to shoot at people downstairs if I had to.

“What company do we have?” Marco asked me once it was more quiet, draping his arm around my shoulders and handing me the jacket to keep me close.

“Soldiers,” I answered, coughing and making him wince.

“You need a drink and to stop talking again. The guys can fill me in. Sit on the couch, gun in your hand. Understood?”

I nodded and he turned his attention to the guys, Caden filling him and Tyler in on the current issue. Marco sat beside me, sending Preston off to backup Hunter, and I was super focused on his thigh against mine.

Again, drugs were bad.

My body was on fire, and Marco knew exactly what he was doing as he lazily draped an arm along the back of the couch and brushed his fingers back and forth against my neck. Fingers on my neck shouldn’t have made my pussy wet.

There was no screaming upstairs, no gunfire, and I was starting to think we’d been wrong about the Soldiers until Hunter wandered down the stairs after half an hour. He had blood on his knuckles and a scarily calm look on his face, stopping next to the couch with a nod.

“Handled. There were three. We got them to leave without too much nagging. Preston and Faris are just making sure they actually stay out.” He eyed me, amusement on his face. “It’s cute that you thought you could be sneaky and come here without me knowing. I tracked you guys from the warehouse to here on the cameras.”

I shrugged, and Tyler grinned. “It was Faris’ idea. Besides, it was fun. Wouldn’t you prefer we hung out at parties you guys were at?”

“Yes, but I’d also rather know in advance if you’re going,” he said flatly. “You should be fine to stick around now they’re gone, but when you’re ready to leave, let me know. Mark can take you to his tonight. I have a few things to do, and I don’t want you left at mine alone. At least at his, you and Ty can crash in the spare room. I’ll take Holloway back to the warehouse for his car.”

Caden didn’t look pleased with that idea but he didn’t argue, and Tyler bounced in his seat.

“Hear that, Mark? We get a sleepover!”

“Goodie,” Marco deadpanned, his fingers pressing into my neck lightly. “You want a pillow fight, Princess?” I made the motions of smothering him with a pillow, and he chuckled. “We can play that game if you’d like. Only if you’re riding me too though.”

“Hands off,” Hunter grumbled, glancing back as Faris appeared. “They gone?”

“Yeah. I don’t think they’ll be back,” he replied, lighting a joint and giving me a wink. “Chased them off for you, Donovan.”

I gave him a thumbs up and he took a few puffs before handing it to Marco, but Hunter snatched it.
