“Ace Madden.” I sighed with relief and ran a hand through my hair. “My cousin.”

Liv let go of my hand and searched for a man who wore no mask but actually put on far too many. The devils, monsters, and natural-born killers. He was everything good mixed in with all the evil in this world.

“He’s gone.” Liv threw up her hands in the air, and they fell to her sides.

“Some other time, I guess.” I shrugged. “Motherfucker got stage fright.”

“I wanted to meet this intriguing individual who made my man tense.” Liv massaged the front of my shoulder blades. “I’ve never seen you like this.”

“We hashed things out.” I took her hands and brushed kisses on her knuckles. “All better.”

“You sure?” Liv asked with a quirked eyebrow.

“Yep.” I popped the P. “For now.”

“Where are we going?” I giggled.

The anticipation killed me while hands guided me in the direction I should go. I trusted my men. They wouldn’t steer me in the wrong direction.

Soon after Sin had wanted me to meet his mysterious cousin, the psychic had hosted a séance for the guests. She had carried her crystal ball around the room; her long, draped clothing was bohemian and bewitching as she invited everyone to join her. She wanted to communicate with the spirits, but Saint had come up with another plan.

“Shut your eyes,” Saint said.

Someone placed a blindfold over my closed eyelids.

“Can you see anything, sweetheart?” Sin asked.

I whispered, “No.”

Blindly, I followed. My heart raced, my breathing hitched with suspense, and my mind reeled. Another mischievous scheme was up their sleeves.

“Watch your step,” Saint cautioned me as his hand guided my arm carefully, and I didn’t trip. “We don’t need a mishap.”

“We've got plans for you,” Sin whispered in my ear.

A shiver ran down my spine.

“Please tell me the surprise is entertaining?” I pleaded.

“Even better,” Saint answered.

Hands let go of me. A slice of panic ran through my bones at the loss of touch. A sensation of being all alone, lost in the silence, until I felt my ghosts’ eyes on me. Dark hues of want as they roamed over my body and heat replaced the chill of loneliness.

“Are we here?” No response, only heavy breathing. “Sin? Saint?”

“Yes, darling, you can take off the blindfold,” Saint urged with his voice echoing off the walls.

I reached my hand up to the material covering my eyes.

“If you dare,” Sin added.

I stopped, pausing right before I touched anything, and dropped my hands to my sides. Sin’s warning made me wary. I never knew what these men were up to.
