I paused, giving her a moment to adjust while my self-control was hanging by a thread. Seeing her underneath me, beautiful and completely open to me, was testing every ounce of restraint I had.
“You okay?” I asked breathlessly, my heart pounding in sync with hers. She nodded, her eyes meeting mine, a mixture of trust and vulnerability reflected in their depths.
With a deep breath, I began to move inside her, a slow and deliberate rhythm that built to a crescendo. Her hands grabbed my back, pulling me closer. I pushed in impossibly deep with her legs wrapped around me, urging me along. The intensity of our connection fed the flames of desire that had been simmering between us.
I leaned down, brushing my lips against hers in a tender kiss, savoring the taste of her as I thrust into her once again. As we moved together, our bodies syncing in perfect harmony, I felt something shift within me. Her moans turned into gasps, her breath becoming more ragged with each thrust. Her eyes locked onto mine, her expression a mix of ecstasy and raw emotions. It was in those moments that I knew I was in too deep. This wasn’t just a one-time thing, a passing fancy. It was something more.
I could feel her heat, her wetness, her desire. It was overwhelming and intoxicating.
“Let go,” she murmured.
“Not yet,” I whispered.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I was telling myself this was it. I couldn’t do this again. I wanted to savor every moment with her.
I dropped my mouth to her neck and sucked on her flesh. She gasped, her body arching against mine. Her hands grasped at the blanket beneath her, her nails digging into the fabric as she surrendered to the waves of ecstasy crashing over her. Her inner walls clenched around me, each thrust sending a shockwave of pleasure throughout her body, tremors radiating through her and directly into me. My body felt electrified. Her cries filled the room.
“I can’t,” I gasped. “I can’t hold back.”
“Don’t!” she demanded.
I thrust into her one last time, my body trembling as I released my control. My release mixed with hers in a symphony of pure, unadulterated bliss. Our bodies shook together. I collapsed on top of her. As we lay there, she traced her fingers across my back.
“That was…” she whispered, searching for the right words.
I shook my head, still catching my breath. “That was…” I began, but then simply let the sentence trail off.
There weren’t words to describe what had happened. I realized I was on top of her and quickly moved to the side. I propped my head up on my elbow and looked down at her naked body.
That was when I really got a chance to see how bruised up she was. “Damn woman,” I sighed. “Look at you.”
“I think you’re looking enough for the both of us.” She grinned, which was nice to see after how upset she’d been earlier.
I leaned down and kissed one bruise and then another. “You poor baby,” I murmured against her skin.
“I’m fine,” she sighed.
“Hop up,” I said. “Let me pull back the blanket. You need to crawl into bed and sleep. Lots of sleep. Tomorrow, you’ve got to handle everything. But that’s tomorrow. Tonight, you’re safe with me.”
I went into the bathroom and quickly disposed of the condom. I crawled into bed beside her, finding it strange to be in bed like this with a woman who wasn’t my ex. Margaret was the last person I slept with, like actually slept. I reached over and gently brushed a lock of hair from Sarah’s face, my fingers lingering on her cheek. Her eyes were closed, and I could see she was on the verge of passing out.
I kissed her cheek and then pulled her close. “Sleep. You’re safe. I’ve got you.”
She snuggled against me. “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight, Sarah.”
“Thank you,” she murmured as she drifted off.
I chuckled softly. I wasn’t sure what she was thanking me for. The good sex. Coming to Washington. Being a good trainer. I didn’t know and I didn’t care. The woman was a force to be reckoned with. She was tough as nails, but I had found her soft, sweet center.
I closed my eyes, feeling content for the first time in a long while. Despite the chaos of the situation, I knew I had found something worth holding on to. There would be consequences, yes, but for now, I was grateful for the moment and the connection we shared. As her breaths evened out and her body relaxed, I allowed myself to drift off too, wrapping my arms around her protectively. Our bodies entwined, I knew I had fallen for Sarah, and I had no intention of letting her go.
