“Probably not,” he admitted, his breathing choppier than I’d ever heard it. “I’m yours though, baby. Do with me what you will.”

A grin spread on my lips and a strange warmth invaded my chest at his words, but I ignored the warm and fuzzy feeling for now, focusing on the outline of him in the dark. The storm was still raging outside, but in the flashes of lightning, I could see the glistening wetness on his tip and I was finally going to get to taste him.

Lowering my head slowly, I parted my lips, wondering if I should stop to ask for the proverbial directions. I’d tried this once or twice with Carter, but it’d never lasted long and it hadn’t been particularly successful.

In the end, as soon as my mouth touched his slick, soft skin, instinct took over. I wasn’t stupid. I’d read books and magazine articles that described blowjobs. I had a basic idea of what to do and I went with what felt right.

Curling my tongue around the head of him, I moved my mouth lower until it touched my hand. Then I pulled back and started over again. Niall cursed and shook underneath me, his muscles tense as his hand flew into my hair.

“Shit, Tallulah.”

Heat rushed between my legs again. It’s working! It’s actually working!

I doubled my efforts, realizing that I could learn without asking just by paying attention to his body language. Whenever he groaned, gasped, or twitched, I made a note of what I’d done to elicit it and then I tried it again.

Faster than I’d have thought possible, I felt him swell in my mouth and he tapped my shoulder. “Baby, I’m going to—”

I threaded the fingers of my free hand through his, letting him know that I’d heard him but that I wasn’t going to stop. A moment later, jets of his release hit the back of my throat. I moaned, surprisingly turned on by him losing it with me in such an intimate way.

Breathing hard in the aftermath, he reached for me, hauling me back up and kissing me hard before he rolled us over so he was on top of me again. There was a wild glint in his eyes when lightning lit the room again, and he was as hard as he’d ever been.

“I want you,” he said urgently, reaching for his discarded pants and making a condom appear as if by magic.

As soon as I saw it, I reached for my shorts, pushing them off and kicking them to the foot of the bed. Within seconds, he had it open and on, and then he was pushing into me, his mouth devouring my own as he caught my hands in his and kept them pressed against the mattress above my head. Since I trusted him completely, I allowed myself to enjoy the sensation of surrendering to him like this and didn’t fight his grasp on me, simply meeting his thrusts and loving how free I felt with him.

In no time at all, I felt the pleasure speeding up on me once more, and I let it go without even trying to hold back, slamming my lips against his as I came harder than I probably ever had. Miraculously, I felt him swell inside me as well, but I was too far gone to wonder if it was even possible.

As the waves of pleasure finally subsided, we sagged down on the mattress together, half-dressed and shaky as we tried to catch our breath. With the storm still in full swing outside, he just held me and finally he chuckled against my skin. “Well, I think we gave the ghosts and the dolls a good show.”

I smiled, my hand on his chest and my head resting on his shoulder. “Did you hear that?”

“Hear what?”

“Footsteps outside the door,” I joked. “I think the ghosts are leaving to let us cuddle in peace.”

Niall laughed quietly and pressed a kiss to the top of my head, but when a series of creaks that sounded like real footsteps rang out from the attic above us, both of us sat bolt upright. I felt my heart lurch in my chest.

“What was that?”

“A sign that we should get the fuck out of here,” he bit out, reaching for his pants and quickly putting them back on.

I did the same, then grabbed the flashlight and switched it on, taking his hand and running downstairs with him. We rushed back to the guesthouse together, both of us soaked as we finally burst in and made our way to my bathroom.

“Shower?” I offered coyly.

Niall winked at me as he stripped out of his shirt. “You’re on. I just hope the ghosts in this house are okay with us falling asleep in here after.”

NIALL

The Hallow’s Eve Festival kicked off tomorrow and I was mighty excited for it to start. All week long, my marketing team had been working on a social media campaign to build the hype surrounding the event, Tallulah had put the finishing touches on the Carmichael Plantation, and so far, it really was shaping up to be the biggest festival yet.

It was Thursday afternoon, and even though we had twenty-four hours to go, for the first time ever, I felt like we were completely ready for it. Sitting in my office, I looked over the plans one final time, but I just couldn’t find anything to add or even question.

I grinned, shaking my head as I wondered how the hell she did it. Tallulah had a way of thinking about everything, planning for every contingency and then some. I was still marveling at the depth of her well of natural talent.

My office line rang and I plucked up the receiver, pressing it to my ear expecting it to be another member of the press calling for a statement about the festival. “This is Niall Morrison.”
