His words and his gaze were sexy as hell. He was a confident man, and I was loving every minute of this. I knew I wouldn't experience anything like this again, and I had zero regrets about the way the night was ending.

I had been feeling bored and more than a little lonely when he'd walked onto that balcony. I'd seen something in his gaze when he was standing outside, thinking he was alone. I saw someone else who was also lonely. I had no idea what he was really thinking. But in that moment, I'd felt connected to him.

His words softened me even further, and I was able to sink the rest of the way over his cock. I whimpered as I bottomed out.

He gripped my hips and lifted me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held on for the ride. I bit my lip against the rising orgasm because he was setting a bruising pace, one I wouldn't be able to resist.

I needed to come again. I wasn't sure I'd ever feel satisfied after being with him. I'd always want one more round.

He let go of my hips and shifted so that he could take my nipple into his mouth again, and I was lost in the pleasure that seemingly only he could give me. I moved over him, riding the wave and anticipating the crash that was going to be stronger than the last.

I'd never felt more beautiful than I did right now. I wasn't worried about any imperfections or whether I was doing something wrong. It was clear that he loved everything that was happening, and it only heightened my desire.

Then there was the fact that we were in a hot tub on my balcony. I wasn't sure if anyone could see us, and right now, I didn't care.

He scraped my nipple with his teeth, and I detonated. I dropped my forehead to his, as my world tilted, my walls spasming around him.

He thrust into me from underneath and said, "I'll never get enough of this. Enough of you."

Who said that after a one-night stand? This was crazy. I'd obviously lost my mind. I didn't know this guy at all. The only thing I knew for sure was that he could reduce me to a trembling mess with a few easy touches.

We stayed like that, my arms around his neck and my legs straddling his strong thighs. I was the one who first moved, shifting off him.

He grabbed the condom and tied it off, setting it to the side. "Come here."

My heart stuttered when he reached for me. This was a one-time kind of thing. I wasn't expecting any cuddling or sweet words. But there was something about this man that reached deep into my soul and asked for more.

I went to him.

He settled me between his legs on the bench facing the mountains, his arms wrapped around me. "Isn't it beautiful?"

"Mmm." I felt safe and secure, content even. Why was I gazing at the mountains and the stars? What was it about this man that made everything different?

I barely knew him. I'd only managed to get his name. Yet I felt like I connected with him on a soul-deep level. I didn't believe in soulmates or even that you had to settle down with someone. I thought of myself as a free spirit. I went wherever the job took me, and no one held me down.

But for now, I'd let myself sink into his chest and revel in his warmth. Tomorrow I'd have to perform. I'd need to be the professional that the Harts had hired to evaluate their inn.

When our skin was wrinkled, we got out and dried off. I pulled on sweats and a T-shirt, and Boone pulled on his pants, leaving the button undone.

There was something about that wide expanse of bare chest that drove me wild. He had a smattering of hair on his pecs and trailing downward.

I wanted to trace that line with my fingers and then my mouth.

He scratched his chest. "You want to order room service? I'm starved."

"I could eat." I'd grabbed something at the airport, but that was hours ago. My flight had been delayed, and then I had to wait for my luggage and then for the rental car. I was exhausted.

The only thing keeping me awake was Boone.

He sat on the bed and grabbed the menu. "What do you want?"

I sat next to him, curling my leg underneath me. "I could go for a burger."

He glanced up at me, his eyes wide. "Yeah?"

My stomach growled. "I'm hungry too."

He grinned. "Burger it is then. Fries?"
