Milo gasped as his back pressed against the cold shower tile, while his front was sprayed with water turned to near-boiling. Or was that just how it felt as it rolled from Grievance’s body and onto his?
His wild Chimera.
Grievance held Milo to him, crushing him in arms thick as Milo’s legs, shoving their bodies as close as possible while they rutted against one another in the spray. Steam filled Milo’s mouth as he gasped. Inhaling and breathing in the musk of his mate, getting drunk on the scent of his desire. His lust. The animalistic need that was all… him.
“Been wanting this body all fucking day,” Grievance growled into the crook of Milo’s neck, licking that tender spot below his ear.
Milo tried to wrap his arms around Grievance’s shoulders, but they simply wouldn’t meet. The Chimera’s broad, bear-like frame was too wide, boxing Milo into an embrace of solid muscle and blistering heat.
“It’s yours. All yours,” Milo gasped. “Do what you like.”
Grievance hummed low in his chest, the rumble making the water shiver across his skin.
“Mmmm, my sweet mate. If I were to do everything I wanted, we’d never leave this shower.”
“That’s fine with me.”
“You smell so good.” He took a deep breath, burying his nose in Milo’s damp curls. “Your scent is like a siren’s song, luring me to my doom.”
“Doom? Am I so unbearable?” Milo asked with a breathy laugh. To be honest, he was barely listening, barely keeping track of the conversation as Grievance’s hands gripped his waist, squeezing the smallest point of him.
“Yes. Every second with you is a test of my endurance. I spend every waking moment holding myself back, wondering how much longer my composure will hold before I can’t take it anymore… and forget just how delicate you are in my hands.”
“Fuck~ Grievance.” Milo whimpered as those massive hands slid from his waist and gripped the globes of his ass, massaging them so hard it bordered on painful. But even that wasn’t enough. “More. Grievance, give me more.”
The Chimera attacked the side of Milo’s neck, biting him hard enough that a startled cry escaped before Milo could stop it. The next second, a soothing tongue licked at the tortured spot.
“You sure you can take more?”
Milo made the arcane hand sign for the letter “R” in the air. The Calcifer crystal he’d hung in the corner of the shower flickered, then turned a deep shade of red, casting them into semi-darkness and adding a sensual note to the air.
“Yes,” he said confidently. “I can take it.”
Grievance took another long swipe. “Fuck, Milo. I can’t decide if it is your scent or your taste that ensnares me more.” Another lick. “Or maybe, your voice.”
He descended on that same patch of skin, wrapping his mouth around it and sucking.
Milo whimpered, fingernails digging into Grievance’s back as the Chimera feasted on his neck. Harder and harder until Milo shook from the painful sting of it. Right when it was nearing too much, it stopped, and Milo sagged against the wall.
“Mmmm, yes. That mark will do just fine,” Grievance said, inspecting his work, which Milo was absolutely certain would become the biggest, ugliest hickey he’d ever endured.
Grievance grabbed Milo’s chin, guiding it up to face him.
“Look how beautiful you are,” he murmured, almost reverently. Then he descended on Milo’s mouth. Not with a kiss. No. Grievance had his own way of claiming Milo’s lips.
It was wild. Instinctive. Beastlike.
And it drove Milo crazy.
Grievance was a master of his tongue, moving it with incredible dexterity. He dragged it slowly across Milo’s lips, back and forth, lapping and twisting in a way that had Milo’s knees going weak, his body needing to brace against the tiled wall so much he worried he’d slide down. Grievance’s tongue continued its exploration of Milo’s mouth before tracing the seam between his lips, in a coaxing glide. Seeking permission to enter.
Asking.
Always asking. For all Grievance’s strength, all the ways he could so easily overpower him, he never took more until Milo gave that affirming nod. And that tenderness was precisely what made Milo feel so safe in his arms.
Milo responded by parting his lips and letting that tongue plunder his mouth like it was searching for treasure. When he pulled away, Milo gasped, breath coming in heavy bursts. He’d forgotten to breathe. The sensation had been too good.
“Do you want it tonight?” Grievance asked in a throaty whisper, barely audible above the spray of the shower.
