“You can give me one more.” He pinches a nipple between his fingers as his other hand rubs my clit. “Come on, Peach. Give me one more.”
He bucks his hips up, while I plant my feet to the floor to steady myself. In and out, over and over, I ride him, bouncing on his lap as the water from the tub sloshes over the edges. I close my eyes and bite my lip, my face scrunched up in pleasure as my second orgasm crashes into me, stealing my breath.
He grips both of my hips hard as I tighten around him, letting out a string of words that barely make sense. And he fills me with warmth until his body gives out.
He turns me in his arms as we struggle to catch our breath and I gaze back at him through heavy lids, still drifting in the aftermath.
“Do you think anyone saw us?” I ask against his shoulder.
“If they did, I’m sure they enjoyed it.”
I lift my head to give him a look. “Wes!”
“What?” His expression is all innocence. I narrow my eyes. “I’m teasing you, baby,” he says, playfully. “Do you think I’d let anyone get a glimpse of what belongs to me?”
“Baby.” He smiles, nipping my shoulder with his teeth. “I made sure we had plenty of privacy.”
“You checked?”
“Of course I checked,” he says. “But I think you liked the idea that someone could’ve seen us. Admit it, you liked being my naughty girl.”
“You’re not wrong.” I admit, reaching up to smooth a few damp strands of his hair back into place. “So, baby, huh? I have a new nickname? What happened to Peach?”
Wes tightens his arms around my body. “Oh, Peach is staying, but now that you’re my real wife, I’m going to call you baby too.”
I smile because I like it and when I tell him that, he buries his face into my neck, peppering kisses over my skin. “I like you…a lot.”
My heart expands, sinks, and soars all at once. We stay wrapped up in each other’s arms, neither of us in a rush to break our connection.
“You’re mine, Lottie. You know that right?”
“I know, Wes,” I say to the man who I’ve let see all of me. “I’m yours.”
There’s that feeling in my chest again, and this time it’s because I’m not just falling for Wes Winters, I’ve already fallen.
It might be too soon, and maybe I’m getting ahead of myself… but it might just be love.
THIRTY-FOUR
Wes
After a marathon night spent making my gorgeous wife come in every square inch of real estate in our suite and every surface I could convince her to try, Lottie fell asleep in my arms. Now it’s morning, and I realize that we’ve slept later than we meant to.
I pull the sheet over my body to cover up my morning wood. Light stretches across the bed, catching the golden strands of Lottie’s hair as she stays curled against my chest. One of my arms is wrapped around her waist, her leg tangled with mine. Neither of us is in any hurry to move.
If you’d asked me a month ago what my perfect morning looked like, I wouldn’t have said anything like this. Now I can’t imagine waking up any other way. Lottie isn’t just my fake wife anymore, she’s the woman I’m falling in love with. The realization should scare the hell out of me. Instead, it feels like the only thing that’s ever made complete sense.
The shrill ring of Lottie’s phone cuts through the quiet room, and she startles awake, her head lifting from my chest. I glance toward the nightstand as she reaches for it. The moment she sees the caller ID, sleep vanishes from her face.
“It’s my mom.”
She sits up in bed, pulling the sheet up to her chest to cover up before pressing the speaker button.
“Lottie.” Her mom’s voice floats through the room. “I hope it’s not too early.”
“Not at all, Mom,” she says. “Is everything okay?”
“Dad is fine, honey.” She pauses. “It’s his insurance. I just received a bill from your Dad’s insurance company, and I think something’s wrong.”
