“You’re doing it—oh.” Her voice faltered as he moved away. But he wanted this to last. He wanted to linger in unexpected places, to please her in new ways, to bring her to the edge and hold her there as long as possible.

He washed the crook of her elbow, the back of her neck, the inside of her wrist. The rich lather provided plenty of slip as his hands glided over her skin. He paid close attention, listening for the catch of her breath as he touched a sensitive spot, and he made sure she was always standing under the rushing water.

He fondled, he smoothed, he caressed and stroked. He rinsed and started again. He didn’t know how long. Time meant nothing. All that mattered was this incredible woman in his arms. Her small moans spurred him on. He moved her arms, repositioned her legs, making sure the water was hitting her just right as he fondled and rubbed. They shared kisses, and he could almost taste Brooke’s rising desire.

At one point, she turned and reached for him, but he yanked his hips back, out of her way. With a curious tilt of her head, she reached for him again, but he didn’t let her touch him.

“That’s not fair,” she said.

“What’s not?”

“You can touch me, but I can’t touch you?”

“It’s all about taking turns. Your turn is first.” He gave up the pretense of the soap and now it was his hands and the water. He stroked her arms, her breasts, her ass and her legs, finally coming up between them.

“Tease,” Brooke said.

“Oh yes,” Theo murmured in her ear. “I want to tease you. I want to keep teasing you until you’re at your limit.”

He held her shoulders in place, up against the shower wall. Brooke’s skin shimmered with water droplets, her legs were open to him, and the scent of her arousal was all around them. He was hard enough to burst, but he would not give in. Not until she had her release.

He kissed her hard. He had her upper body pinned with his so she couldn’t move much. All she could do was receive his kisses and his touch. He pushed her legs farther apart. The hot water continued to flow over them as he explored her folds. His hands glided effortlessly over her as the wetness of the shower combined with the wetness of her juices.

He was not yet an expert on Brooke’s body. He could spend a lifetime learning its ways. But he knew her body well enough. He knew how she liked to be touched, the amount of pressure to give, the ability of the slow strokes of his fingers to drive her wild. Her body was everything. She was beauty and softness and slickness and all his.

He was behind her now. She had her hands on the shower wall and he held her at her waist while he moved fingers in and out of her, touching, feeling, bringing her closer and closer to the peak. Her mouth was open, panting, and every muscle was taut as she perched on the edge.

“Yes,” he whispered in her ear. “I can feel it. You want this. Let go.”

He kept up the pressure while holding her upright. Her knees shook and she moaned deep in her throat as her orgasm built. She gasped and moaned, her cries louder than the sound of the shower as she came in a glorious burst.

He held her, keeping her body under the spray. The caress of the water drops joined his hands as he ran them over her body, letting her take her time to come back to herself. Pride swelled his chest and lust swelled his groin. God, she turned him on.

Eventually, she brought her lips to his in the lush, languid kiss of a happy woman. “Thank you,” she murmured.

“Thank you,” he said. “That was amazing.”

“Yesss.” Brooke closed her eyes and drew out the syllable.

“I have one question,” Theo said.

“I’ll allow it.”

“Still think baths are better?”

She laughed. “I think orgasms are better. And I’d like to give you one.”

She reached for him again, but the water was cooling around them, and if they didn’t turn it off soon, they would be showering in ice. “Let me get you a towel,” Theo said.

As he stepped out of the shower, the cold air hit his wet body like a slap. He sucked in a gulp and stood dripping while Brooke turned off the water and drew back the curtain. He wrapped her in a towel and then grabbed one for himself.

He patted her arms and legs, paying just as much attention as when he was lathering her up, making sure every part of her was warm and dry. Then he removed the clip in her hair, taking it down and spreading it over her shoulders. He ran his fingers through the shiny brown strands, enjoying the softness.

She draped her arms loosely around him, pulling him toward her. He nuzzled her neck, putting his nose in that sweet spot behind her ear. He inhaled deeply, reaching for the scent of her. And there it was, crisp as autumn air, fresh as a new adventure, and as familiar as home. And underneath it was the tantalizing scent of a well-satisfied woman.

God, he wanted her. He covered her neck with kisses, inhaling her undefinable fragrance. Now he knew it wasn’t her soap or lotion or anything she used on her skin, but Brooke herself that made him feel this way. A kind of certainty bloomed in his chest as he felt something shift. “I love—”

He stopped himself before he blurted out what came next. He couldn’t say it. He didn’t dare feel it. Not yet. She couldn’t be his. He couldn’t be hers. Not while they were attorney and client.
