“It wasn’t your dad or your uncle.” I pointed down the street to where the SUV had parked and a mom lifted a stroller out of the back, her toddler waiting patiently on the sidewalk for her. “See? Just a mom taking her kids to get the groceries or something.”
Luca cracked his neck to one side, the joints audibly popping and a little of the tension seeping out of his posture. But not all of it.
His fingers circled my wrist, and this time, I let him. He checked the street for cars then stepped out into it, pulling me along with him. His steps were brisk as he headed for Dax’s store, and I had to jog a bit to keep up with him.
“Luca,” I tried again.
But he wasn’t having it. He put his weight against the tattoo shop door, opening it and dragging me inside with him. The jingly bell above the door was at complete odds with the intensity Luca threw off.
Dax looked up from working on a client’s back, and his expression morphed from concentration to pleasure at seeing me.
It faltered when he picked up on the vibe between me and Luca.
Dax frowned. “Everything okay?”
I opened my mouth to answer.
Luca beat me to it. “Where’s your bathroom?”
Dax pointed.
“Don’t come down there. No matter what you hear, I promise, she’s fine.”
Dax’s expression darkened, and he got to his feet to intervene, only getting halfway before I shook my head.
His eyebrows furrowed with confusion, but my eyes implored him to sit down. To let this be whatever Luca needed it to be.
If it was a punishment for running off on him, then I would take it.
My core tingled at the thought of it. Because unlike his father, I knew I had nothing to fear from Luca Guerra’s punishments.
Dax didn’t seem happy about it, but he made no further move to follow us down the short hallway to the bathrooms. Luca pushed me inside and turned around, locking the door behind him.
I breathed heavily and mentally tried to blame that on the fact I’d just had to jog across the road to keep up with Luca’s longer strides, but really, I knew I wasn’t that out of shape. If I was breathless right now, it was only because of the anticipation of whatever Luca wanted to do to me.
“Lift your skirt and take off your underwear.”
It was on the tip of my tongue to argue with him. To sass him and tell him he didn’t get to boss me around. And yet, I didn’t. Because I’d seen the fear in his eyes outside. And I knew he needed this. For me to do whatever the hell he told me to, so he knew I could follow his directions when we were out on the street and my safety was in his hands.
I’d worn a hand-me-down dress that was too tight across my boobs but loose around my thighs and belly. Without taking my eyes off him, and without uttering a word, I raised the skirt and took my underwear off, dropping them on the floor. I let the skirt settle back down around my calves, keeping my private places hidden from his heated gaze.
“Turn around and put your hands on the mirror.”
I did. I had to stick my ass out, because there was a sink and my belly in the way, but I did what he wanted.
He wasted no time in stepping in behind me. While I watched in the mirror, he gathered up the material of my dress and lifted it until it was draped across my back, my naked ass exposed.
I sucked in a breath as his hand roamed down the small of my back and across my ass cheeks. He kneaded and massaged each one slowly, his gaze never leaving mine in the mirror. It felt nice, and this entire situation had me hot, so I closed my eyes, anticipating where this was going.
His stubble tickled my cheek when he whispered, “Have you had anyone lick you here, princess?”
His fingers slid between my crack, and the massage switching to my rear opening. The one he was apparently obsessed with.
I was sure my blush was evident on every inch of my skin. I felt like I was on fire. It took barely a second for me to relax enough to enjoy the feel of his finger there, and I moaned his name as encouragement. “Luca.”
“Answer the question.”
“No.”
