My mom interrupted him. “I think Luke wants to prove how serious and committed he is to you, sweetie.”

Well, what does that mean? “Somebody end the suspense for me!”

“I asked your mom if I could help in the flower shop,” Luke blurted out. He looked so timid. I’m assuming he was nervous about my reaction, but I couldn’t have been happier.

“Really?!” I felt the corners of my mouth puncture my cheeks. I don't think he could've said anything better.

Luke nodded.

“And it’s perfect, because Isabel is finally making the move to the Atlantic coast to be with her boyfriend - well, fiancé - and we’ll need the extra help.”

“Where will you live?” I asked without thinking.

“I was kind of hoping you wouldn’t mind if I-” he looked toward my mother as if he didn’t want to offend her.

“You can say it, Luke. I already said it was fine.”

“I’d like to live with you. You mentioned that cottage you’re fixing up. I’m a fast learner, and I’ve got some muscles, you know.” The first flicker of a smile tickled his lips. He was nervous, waiting for my response.

“I could kiss you right now, Lucas Rivera.”

“I’m not gonna stop you.”

What the fuck, why not?

So I did.

Lucas

I’m sure he wasn’t thinking with his brain. He was thinking with his cock. Or his heart. Both?

When I felt Cam’s lips on mine, I froze, but as soon as I felt his tongue press against my lips, begging for entry, I relented. And kissed him back.

It felt like ages, but I’m sure it was a second or two.

“So, going public, huh?” Shane said behind us, which was enough to break Cam’s lips off mine.

“Sorry,” Cam squeaked out, his cheeks flushed. “Couldn’t help myself. You really want to live with us?”

“Of course. I know it’s probably fast for you, but I know what I want.”

“It’s fine. I wanted to ask you, but I felt the same.” We shared a laugh.

“I’m pretty sure they just took a picture of you kissing, just a heads up,” Heather said, pointing towards the front of our section. “You should text Woodward and let him know.”

“I will, Mom, but after Colton. I don’t need him distracted.”

It was a good thing Cam didn’t distract Colton. He ended up with a silver medal, but was only a tenth of a point behind Rasmus. It was so close. Ty and Coach were with him. I kept refreshing Twitter and Instagram, checking to see if what Cam’s mom said was true.

Of course, they had the balls to tag us in it.

“Fuck,” I muttered under my breath.

“What?” Cam heard me.

“It’s grainy, but there’s a photo.”
