“This place is huge!” Ty leaned in to whisper-yell in my ear.
I nodded. “He owns three gyms and is pretty big on social media.”
“Well, I’m impressed. You said he coaches?”
“Yeah, his sisters are gymnasts. He’s into a bit of everything though.”

“Let me know if you see Miles or Preston,” I yelled at Declan over the music.
They were my only two athletes at the moment. The younger, middle and high school-aged athletes were back in school. We didn’t get an influx of them until the summer, which had ended before our arrival.
“You wanna drink, babe?” Declan asked.
“Sure. Why not? Something fruity.”
Declan leveled me with a look.
“Don’t start,” I said, tweaking a nipple through his fabric breastplate.
“I’ll get you something with pineapple.”
That got my attention. “Planning on swallowing something later?”
“If I’m lucky.” He winked and headed to the kitchen, leaving me surrounded by half-clothed hunks in a field of twirling colorful lights.
This Hudson guy really knows how to throw a party.
My phone vibrated against my bare skin. I had no pockets, so it was tucked in my briefs.
Quinn: Happy Halloween! Did the mummy costume work out? What'd Dec go as?
Tyler: He is the hunkiest Hercules ever!
Quinn: Like Kevin Sorbo barbarian vibes or the Disney one?
Tyler: Disney! And fuck, it's the childhood fantasy I never knew I wanted. Hbu?
Quinn: Poison Ivy.
Quinn: Starbucks Guy is here.
Tyler: Perfect. Now's your time. Get him, girl.
Quinn: Lmao, we'll see. Have fun!!!
"Coach Ty, is that you?"
I turned to see an almost naked Miles. His eighteenth birthday was a few months ago, but I invited him anyway, knowing he likely wouldn’t drink. He was kind of a boy scout. He was also really short. Like, shorter than Luke, short.
And wearing just a speedo, with a towel around his neck.
“Wow, Miles. You know this is a costume party, right?”
“I am aware."
