“So, you’re fully prepared to never speak to me again over your father? You can’t really be that stupid. Destiny, I knew you were weak, but, Jesus Christ,” she said in disbelief.

“That’s not the him I was referring to. I’m marrying Brick on Saturday. I hope you can make it. Now, if you have some vendetta against the man you chose to marry, I’d suggest you either leave him, or handle it yourself instead of trying to coerce me to do it.” I couldn’t even lie, a niggas chest filled up with pride as I heard her stand up to at least one of her parents. My phone buzzed and I looked down to see a text from my brother.

Pistol

We got a lead on one of the niggas that keep hitting our people. Me and Ki bout to pull up. You coming?

Yeah, I’m on my way.

I unbuckled my pants and ruffled my shirt a bit before strolling out of her bedroom. You would have thought I was completely naked the way their eyes widened. I walked over to Destiny, dick first, and pulled her into a nasty ass kiss. She melted into me again and even moaned into my mouth right in front of her mama.

“I gotta go,” I said, buttoning my pants back up. Sarah rolled her eyes. “And, Sarah?”

“Yes?” she asked with an angry glare.

“Since you know about your husband. You know how it goes down in my family. Watch how the fuck you speak to my wife. I don’t hit women, but I got a couple chicks on the payroll who would happily knock that crooked ass wig off your head. Y’all have a nice day,” I said before walking out the door. I gave her ass one warning, but the next time I wouldn’t be so nice.

I quickly made my way over to Pistol’s auto shop where my brothers were waiting on me. The moment I stepped in, I was receiving the information from P.

“So, J’s stash house got hit last week, and one of them fool ass niggas was dumb enough to leave his whole wallet with his driver’s license in the back room. Since he was nice enough to leave an invite, we figured we would show up for the party,” Pistol said with that homicidal gleam in his eye. That nigga was giddy as hell about getting the opportunity to fuck somebody up… crazy ass.

“Let’s go holla at the nigga then,” I said. Whoever was behind this was fucking up business and trying to start up a mutiny between us and our associates. I needed to get to the bottom of this before niggas started looking at us and wondering why the fuck we were untouched.

We hopped into one of Pistol’s trucks with false plates and headed to the destination.

“Nigga, can we get some music in this bitch or something? Put on that new Traitor!” Kilo hollered from the backseat. He could have saved his breath because he knew P wasn’t going for that shit.

“You already know the answer to that,” he said, not taking his eyes off the road. I feel like if he had a choice, he would go through his day in complete silence—no music, nobody speaking to him, just whatever the fuck he had going on in his head.

“Man, please? We supposed to be hype and shit before we go shoot a nigga!”

“P, please give this nigga something so he don’t talk this whole fuckin’ ride.” I was still annoyed that one, I got interrupted right when Destiny was gon’ let me fuck, and two, her mama came over there on some fuck shit. Listening to Kilo’s whining ass was about to have me throwing myself out of a moving vehicle.

“My car, my rules,” Pistol said with a shrug, making me remember why I usually rode by myself. As we got closer to our destination in the middle of the city, P handed each of us a black ski mask before putting his on as well. We pulled up to the house, and he parked on the street. The nigga made the mistake of moving into a neighborhood that was in the middle of a gentrification process. Half the homes on the street were trap houses, and the other half were new builds with For Sale signs out front. We verified that the coast was clear, then moved in fully prepared to toss his ass in the car and take him back to one of the warehouses to squeeze what we needed out of him.

“No! Fuck!” The moment we opened the front door was coincidentally the moment that nigga took his last breath. The remnants of his dome decorated the wall behind him as our eyes landed on a masked figure standing in front of his body. I ducked, just barely missing the bullet that flew past my skull and quickly fired back. The gunman dove behind the couch, evading my return fire. I gave P the signal to go around the back, and he quickly took the circular route through the hallway to surround our unexpected opp.

“Man, who the fuck is this?” Kilo asked as the two of us spread out, one blocking the window, the other the door. When he realized what we were doing, he sprung into action, preparing to let off a round of shots in my direction to clear a path. He was too late as Pistol crept up behind him, quickly grabbing the gun and disarming it. The gunman leapt to his feet and rushed Pistol, hitting him with a crazy combination of punches. It looked like he was getting the best of Pistol’s big ass, which was surprising because the nigga was kinda small.

“Nigga!” Pistol yelled at us after a particularly hard blow to the face. “Y’all not gon’ help me?”

That niggas jaw is gon’ be swole than a muhfucka in my wedding pictures… Mama gon’ be pissed!

“My fault… I just ain’t used to seeing somebody get the best of you, nigga.”

When I said that, the nigga spun his head in my direction and cocked his head to the side. That was all the window P needed to put his ass in an airtight headlock. Kilo raised his gun, and I quickly shut him down.

“Nigga! Use your fuckin’ head! We need all the information we can get out this nigga while he can still talk! Let’s take him back to the warehouse and work,” I fussed.

A rush of excitement ran through my veins at the thought. I hadn’t had a chance to use my toys in a while. Just as I was debating on whether to start by cutting the niggas dick off, or his fingers, he gasped.

“Brick?” Brown eyes peered at me from behind the mask and I stumbled back.

Ain’t no muhfuckin’ way!

“It’s a girl?” Kilo asked, almost as taken aback as I was… almost. I stepped forward and quickly snatched the mask off, damn near hitting the floor when I looked into a familiar glaring face. I pulled my mask off too so I could get a good look at her. It was apparent that she recognized me anyway.

“What the fuck?” I asked, wanting to take off running like a nigga on Maury who found out he wasn’t the daddy.
