“Hmph.” I look at him and he smiles at me teasingly.
“Don't be nervous. You're in control,” he says calmly.
Axe reaches for my hand and curls it in his, leading it over his manhood. He wraps my hand around him and guides my movements to jerk him off. He lets go of my hand and I keep doing it. I get lost in the moment and when I finally look up at his face, he's squeezing his eyes shut.
“Are you okay?” I frown.
“I just... really want to mate,” he says breathily.
“Oh.” I bite my lip and think if I should say yes. Am I ready? I'm not sure. “Do you want me to stop?”
“No.”
I keep jerking him off and it's not long before he erupts like a volcano, but instead of hot lava, it's white and creamy. I feel him going soft in my hand so I let him go. His eyes meet mine and he just stares, breathing shallowly.
“Did you like it?” I ask to break the silence.
“Yes.” He chuckles. “Did you like my mouth on your pussy?”
His dark gaze and the way he says those words send warmth between my legs. Axe squeezes my thigh, a smirk forming on his lips.
“I'm going to wash my hands.” I make up an excuse to avoid his teasing. As I grab my pants and leave the room, he laughs. I think he likes making me blush with how openly he talks about sex.
After washing my hands and splashing my face in the bathroom, I walk back down the hallway.
“Go get him,” Carson calls making me jump. I see her in the doorway of her room smirking. Well, that's just embarrassing. She winks before closing the door. Ugh, she was listening.
I decide whether I should go back into Axe's room or mine. As I linger outside his door, he opens it.
“Why are you waiting out here?” He frowns. His pants are back on now.
“I just thought I might go to bed,” I say.
“I want you to sleep in here,” Axe admits making my eyes go wide.
“Are you sure?” I ask.
“Yes.”
Axe pulls me in by my arm and leads me to the bed. I get under the blankets and lie against the headboard. This is the first time we're sleeping together. I barely ever come into his room and now he's telling me to sleep in here. Maybe it's just one night. Axe lies beside me and lets out a sigh.
“What are you thinking about?” I stare at him but he's staring at the ceiling.
“If you think I'm thinking about her, I'm not,” he says, his tone agitated.
“I wasn't accusing you,” I say softly. He rolls over to face me.
“I just don't want you to think that I would be thinking about her after what I just did with you.” He places his hand on my hip.
“You can talk about her. I won't mind,” I tell him.
I don't think he's opened up about the loss of his mate with anyone except Dash. Maybe Carson too. But I think Dash knows him better than anyone. I hope I become that person. But I can't push him to open up when I didn't when he asked.
“Not tonight. Not after something so intimate with you,” Axe says, and I nod, realising his grief shouldn't be talked about during pillow talk. “But thank you.”
“Do you want to go to sleep?” I change the subject.
“I'm not tired.”
