I couldn’t believe I just did that.

The two of us stared in disbelief at each other and an overwhelming feeling of panic gripped my chest. I scrambled off his lap, noticing there was a large wet spot where I had just been sitting. We both had come.

He went to reach for me, but I pulled away, heart beating so fast I thought it might burst.

“Thanks!” I exclaimed quickly, rushing to the exit.

“Wait—” he called out. But I didn’t stop.

I ran.

What had I been thinking, getting off on a client like that? I wasn’t thinking. I was acting. Following my instincts, and clearly those instincts needed to be put in time out if that’s what it was going to have me do. My heels clacked loudly against the floor as I found my way into the dressing room. It was packed with costume changes and makeup applications galore. I nearly got sprayed in the eyes by hairspray, dodging it just in time to scoot past and find my aunt’s office. It was blissfully vacant, and for the second time in the span of a week I found myself curled up on her couch trying to collect my emotions.

My body was still thrumming with need, wondering how Callahan would have felt shoved inside me, while the rational side of my brain was screaming at me for even imagining it.

I was getting myself all worked up over nothing, well, not nothing. Compromising on my boundaries for the sake of an orgasm seemed like something I needed to examine. But lots of girls who worked here did exactly what I had without a problem. The fear that I would develop feelings and end up just like my sister had a chokehold on me though, and one I couldn’t shake.

Maybe it was time I bought myself a new vibrator. One I actually used. That’s all it had to be. Just a lack of personal care. I’d been so focused on everything else, I hadn’t taken care of my own needs, and that spilled over into my decision-making tonight. And the first hot guy I’d taken interest in got the business end of my desperation. How embarrassing. At least I’d made over a thousand, so I couldn’t be too upset at myself. A girl had to eat, and I had bills to pay and a vibrator to purchase so this situation could never happen again.

If I stayed hidden away in here for the rest of the night, I could avoid accidentally running into Callahan again. He said he came with his friend, so it would be best if I actively avoiding them all together. Besides, I made more than enough tonight that I could afford to camp out. Dee Dee didn’t mind if we took personal time anyways. She had enough dancers to cater to her clientele. I could just wait for my shift to end and then go grab breakfast with Helena like we normally did. It was for the best. This way I couldn’t get myself in trouble again because clearly, I couldn’t trust my judgement around that broody, handsome man that made me come so hard I saw stars. Fuck, he had felt good. Too good.

But I would probably never see the guy again anyways. I didn’t know why that thought made me as sad as it did though. I was better off alone.

Chapter Six

CALLAHAN

Gemini

Regrets aren’t worth your time. Instead, focus on building a life you want. It’s time to get serious about your desires. Are they lining up with your actions?

My body was buzzing, feeling the lack of her body heat the moment she slipped out the door. The wad of cum that sat in my pants was inconvenient and embarrassing as hell. What the fuck had I been thinking? Sitting here acting like a goddamn horny teenager instead of the grown ass man I knew myself to be.

Clearly, I needed to get laid.

I raked my hands down my face like that could make me get my shit together. The problem was a part of me didn’t want to. The desire to follow her out the door and ask for her name and number was so strong that the mess in my fucking pants was the only thing keeping me rooted to this spot.

A significant amount of time and one awkward encounter in the bathroom later, I was cleaned up enough to go find Simon and get the hell out of here. Intel would have to wait until I was levelheaded enough to function like the professional, I was. Until then, I had to walk in a way that covered the noticeable wet stain on my pants.

Unfortunately, all it managed to do was bring more unwanted attention to me.

“Dude, why are you walking around like you’ve got a wedgie?” Simon asked, plopping his meaty hand on my shoulder.

I glared at him. If I could have shot daggers out of my eyes in that moment, I would have.

“I am not,” I gritted out from behind my teeth. “Let’s go.”

“What? We just got here.”

My eyes scanned the area. Most around us were too focused on the scantily clad women moving around and dancing to notice us, but more than I was comfortable with were starting to pay attention. Was she still here? Was she watching? Could she see me? Fuck. I really should have asked for her name.

“I had a… uh… situation,” I stammered. Fuck, who even was I right now? Brought to a bumbling mess by the wiles of a gorgeous woman.

“Oh shit,” he laughed so loud it made my eardrum ring. “Yeah. You definitely have a situation. Let’s get you outta here.”

I sighed—grateful he wasn’t going to put up more of a fight with me because it was starting to get crunchy in my briefs.

Simon took the keys and drove me straight to our apartment building. It was convenient that he lived just a few floors down from me. The whole building was owned by the Underwoods, and they were filled with people that worked for them. So, when Simon and I had come back from our overseas assignment, they shuttled us in with our individual accommodations. It was already furnished with anything we might need. When I was younger and dumber, I was easily impressed by their ‘gifts’. But I learned quickly that every handout came with a hefty price.
