“We have all night for that.”

Sienna pulled him into another hard kiss, her tongue finding his almost immediately. Whatever fire Caleb thought was raging before was now an inferno. He needed to be inside her. Now.

A sharp nudge from an elbow to his ribs pulled Caleb back into the present. Blinking rapidly, he shifted slightly, his attention now fully on Mark, who at some point had turned to face him, hand outstretched.

“Rings,” Gregory, his other best friend and roommate from medical school hissed from behind him.

Right, the rings…

Reaching into his pocket, Caleb pulled out the two solid gold wedding bands and handed them to Mark with a nod. His buddy smiled back at him, eyes glassy with emotion. Caleb’s heart squeezed, happy that his friend was feeling this way. It was the way you should feel on your wedding day. It was also a feeling Caleb had wanted to find for himself.

After that night, he’d let himself believe that maybe it would be possible to find that in someone like Sienna. Sure, they had only spent one night together, in a hotel at a medical conference. But it was one night that had been filled with laughter, deep conversation, and easily the best sex he’d ever had. They hadn’t wasted much time on sleep, wanting to spend every second wrapped up in each other. There had been something special about their connection. Or at least he had thought so.

Moments later, the wedding party was making their way back down the aisle toward the woman he had just been thinking about naked. No, not thinking about. Remembering. His fingers itched to wrap around the beautiful waves in her hair that was now the color of a bright new penny. But the unamused look on her face as she herded them over to the pond for photos told him now was not the time.

Not that he really wanted to talk to her anyway. Not after she’d lied to him.

“What’s up, dude? It was like you got lost there for a moment,” Gregory commented, as they watched Mark dip Kathleen for a kiss in front of the photographer.

“Remember the girl I met at that medical conference in Savannah a couple of years ago?”

“The multicolor-haired chick who told you she was an artist to get into your pants but turned out she was really a pharma rep? Yeah, why?”

Caleb sucked in a breath, narrowing his gaze on Sienna.

“She’s the wedding coordinator.”
